do the ones you offer come with cats and dump pipes etc??

Just depends what style you choose mate, some of the systems come with replacement cats and other dont. Greddy do a front/dump pipe set up but its rrp is close to $1000 for rb26dett..but at the end of the day you get what you pay for. For a full trust system from turbo's back would cost you approx $1800-$2000.

Thanks,Ryan

had around 1500 put aside....

when you say go a jap exhaust, what do they have that some one cant make for me? i know that may be a stupid question...

Also how do you kno that these jap ehaust your buying have high flowed cats etc etc

Not a stupid question at all......that's the whole basis of my arguement.

A qualified exh guy with experience in hi-performance cars can make a nice system and save you a few $$$.

Mandrel bends kept to a minimum, magnaflow cats, and your choice of rear muffler.....and if it drones like some jap pipes do, he can add a straight through resinator for you, this way you get the look at the rear you're after and the sound that you want.

forget everything that has been suggested so far and speck to Andrew from AM Performance, He is based in Adelaide (workshop is near port Adelaide) and the quality of his work is far far better then many workshops in andelaide, Andrew did my R32 and i asked for a split dump and a nice sounding exhaust and he delivered a quality product that blew me away!

and thats because...???

Some of them (like mine) leak residue (a very minute amount) and it can gum up the AFM's... thats the only problem ive encountered with em, but its easily solved by cleaning the afm contact plates and the interior tubing. Its doesnt happen all the time, usually only happens when you get overzealous with the filter oil, or use the wrong filter oil...

Had a rampod tho on my old r31 and that suffered from heinous residue problems. For my money the pods are structured a little more forgiving for turbos

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
