both of those ( I sell them) dont have the diagrams in public use and in the case of quiktrak no one knows what the unit looks like or where it is fitted in the car.

for brant try getting a wiring diagram for them. you can't.

I sell viper also

good stuff as well. built more for the US markets tho.

revhead (r33gtst -do a search on here) has a hf1500-python that he is very happy with. been fitted to the car for 3 years now and zero probelms.

all of the ones I mentioned use rolling code technology.

basically the alarm will slow a professional thief down not stop them. the best alarm can also be the worst and easiest to to disable if not fitted properly- food for thought.

I would still use a clublock.

i agree with Chris Rogers.

brant have one of the top alarm systems (the nemesis i believe). 6 point immobiliser, black wiring, key pad pin protection etc... recommended by majority of the insurance companies.

as for quicktrak i thought that it's a satellite tracking system - insurance companies have this as a step up from the alarm system. i'd get both.

get a prolock. make sure you put it on the same way as on the instructions (key hole facing windscreen not the seat) - it makes it that much harder to remove. plus the visual deterrent factor is handy.

quiktrak is radio based. you are thinking of navtrak.

navtrak can be defeated by pulling into a undercover car park.

quiktrak you can do this and still find the car.

there is a reason most insurance companies reccomend brant..

installation depends on the shop and the car.(the quality depends on the shop!!)most of the alarms I sell (mongoose, viper, python, cyclops and quiktrak) start form $390 and go up from there. in the case of quiktrak that one is 2k fitted with one year monitoring.

howhow,

what model was yours? (curious- I did a customer call to a local autobarn here and was told $500 for a hornet system.)

re the brant alarm. I would ring brant direct in your area. (form memory its $1000ish-I haven't got my books in front of me.)

for timers all alarms can be wired around them - dont let any shop tell you they cant be. 3 minutes is plenty of time after a HARD run. 1 min is normal for most of the cars I have seen/worked on.

Brant Nemesis cost me $1098 installed in melbourne - got some other features put on whilst i was having the alarm installed so it cost me a few hundred $$$ more. The extra features aren't really necessacity items (eg. window-up) but they sure look cool :)

    • That still isn't a lot to go on. I don't have a Y50 Fuga Head Unit wiring diagram. I can say that a lot of nissans of that age shared head unit plugs, so if you are in Australia something like this would probably help: https://aerpro.com/app091# You plug that into the car loom, then either plug the head unit ISO into that (if it has ISO), or you buy and ISO adapter harness that you wire in. Bit of stuffing around, but once you have ISO its easy to change things in future.
    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
