i have just removed the driver side rotor/hub. i know a little about shoes. but a little is all i know. i noticed that the right side shoe is missing a screw and spring to hold it in place. i found the spring but not the screw. can i buy the springs separatly or will i have to shell out for a whole new kit? the pic where my finger is pointing at the hole is where the spring and screw should be. the shoe just wobbles everywhere without it.

also can i adjust the shoes out a little more, by using what looks to be the adjuster? its at the very bottom! you cant see it in the pics though.

and is there enough meat left on them?

if you want me to take a few more pics of them then i can

Craig.

i see what your saying. and yes i am getting into drifting. uras are not cheap either. i read they are $212 a set. i might just buy a brand new set of OEM ones.

i noticed that all of the brand new shoe kits dont come with the springs to afix them. i have to use the old parts. which leads me to beleive that all springs and screw components can be bought separatly.

they do look pretty though

yeah they work 1000% better than oem.... its the main reason the japs dont use hydraulic handbrakes... the uras and kazama shoes are the best solution. when you consider the cost of a hydraulic handbrake and a set of shoes that do the same job.... they start to look very cheap

im sure they do.

your options are:-

* nissan genuine

* Going to a clutch and brake specialist and give them your shoes to bond new pads onto them. if u do this ask them if they can re-bond them with performance pads in mind.

* i should think that they are out there aftermarket for r34 i cant see why not. id imagine that they could be the same as the r33. look arround. throw URAS a pm.

im putting mine back in today. should be fun  as ive never done it before.

URAS,

how do the uras ones compare to project mu?

and whats the price for a set for r33?

The old yelloe type were the same material as the Project MU, but the new black URAS shoes are 10 times better. The new material was developed in D1GP by guys using upwards of 275 section semi slick tyres. Not to be confuse this with a sales speil but we offer money back garantee on all our pads/shoes we are that confident in them.

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?

LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
