I have a remote filter and want to run oil cooler from this-I have a Magna transmission cooler that I propose to use. Does anyone have any experience with this setup? I have heard people using it with good results but others have questioned it. Any comments would be appreciated.

I have a G-ready oil cooler, f*kING SWEET!, has a thermostat inbuilt so that it wont cool the oil when the oil is cold. Which is important if you live in a cooled area. oil is not fully affective untill at operating temp. Not only does it look good it works really well to

Its not driving on the road that you need it for its on the track.

You dont need to get one with the thermostat, You can get the 100mile an hour tape and tap up the front of the cooler for when it cooled and your just driving around (winter)>that what we do with the race car.

Ive got a greddy oil cooler myself, so far no issues. Would like to see real world difference though between a car with and a car without.

Dunno bout GTST's, but my BNR32 and many others reaches up to 1100c with some spirited street driving. With a cooler it takes some serious hot day'ed track / street work to hit 100.

I use a Earls, cut from billet block adapter and oil filter mount. I use a Earls billet oilstat with -10 race fittings through out. Less then 1/2 cost compared to Jap kits, and you can choose the best core that fits your setup.

I have been trying to fit a Trust core into the drivers brake duct, though will have to sell it, and grab a Sereck, as even moving the stock BOV's doesn't give enough room.

F_uck brand name, your looking for an effect. If you can hook up the trans cooler you have now easily, and it works? then use it. If not, change it :)

Like ppl have mentioned, it'l get hot if you run it hard, if you track your car, or use a lot of WOT on the street; then you'll need one.

I have a justjap oil cooler on the datto, its ok, but the threads are way too easy to stuff and theres a constant threat of oil leaks if you move or disconnect it then reconnect it. Having said that, the cooler works well and it was apropriately priced for the quality :(

    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
    • That's one of the reasons I got that breed, they look weird, the other reasons are they small, they are very vocal, and run around like they are on crack, I didn't want a breed that just sits around, these two are like kids on red cordial  My daughter has one, and it's a laugh riot, constantly doing Parkour around the house, sits on her shoulder, plays catch, and constantly runs around the house taking turns chasing the dog around, her Bermese though, just lays around with constant bitch face, and just looks on in utter disgust at the cat and dog playing together
    • I'm getting PTSD flashbacks seeing that name again.  With my turbo swift, I got 1,500km of street use on a Jim Berry clutch before it exploded and took out my input shaft with it.
