Hey guys firstly hello, my name is Simon, i live down south and have just bought my first skyline! :D

Some of you may have know my last car 'DARE YA' the orange Magna, which i sold just over a week ago now!

So this is my new car and is just how i bought it.

Skyline R33 series 2 96'

Manual

208.3kw atw ..... oh and its on stock boost 8psi!

HKS 2540 large turbo

large front mount cooler

twin piped stainless dump pipe into 3inch exhaust into twin rear straight thru mufflers

Remapped ECU (Speedlabs Jeff)

Bosch 040 fuel pump

LED tail lights

Lowered hard suspension

SSR professors 18inch 3 piece genuine 245f and 265r

400r bodykit

12inch percaso sound stream sub with pioneer 760w 2ch and pioneer hu and spreakers

really only looking at putting a dual stage boost controller on it as im pretty happy with the power its putting out atm

Well im hoping to catch up with some of you guys around the place and get to know a lot more about the turbo scene :D

Can i ask what you ended up getting for your magna?? that was a HOT car...

ill have to have a look what time the dyno day is etc! ive sorta got the day off lol.

yeah i got a little less than i wanted but i took my plates and nos off! i got 16.5k

this car im trying not to touch too much but i know i wont be able to resist :D

welcome mate, car loos clean as and good power too. Just a question, are those photos of car in current state, just cause that kit doesn't look like a 400r kit.

thanks, yeah thats it after a few hrs cleaning and polishing,

not too sure on the kit im just goin on what i was told from the seller lol

i thought that the rear was a nismo or something like that

haha hi Simon. So ur the one thats been going past my place in the silver skyline. I live just out on elizabeth rd, just down from ur mate that owns the little maroon lancer with the grey front bar, guessing he is a friend. Seen ya go past monday night and sunday arvo i think it waz. Ya car sounds and looks awsome :D

    • I'm normally copping my own abuse from neglecting my daily drivers. "Those suspension bushes will last a bit more", "Don't worry about the oil leak, just keep topping it up". The project cars I'm always doing things slowly on them as I'm wanting them to be done better, and neater, and nicer. Luckily I don't have to deal with 18 year old Matt's "Learning to wire" stuff in the project cars. And there's only one piece of wiring I'm displeased about in the Landcruiser, and it's about to be cut out... However, the box loads of parts that have been going through this place lately for the Landcruiser... Brake pads Brake Rotors Full handbrake overhaul Wheel Bearings Seals Swivel hubs Steering Boxes Half the suspension joints Shocks Air bags (Ones to go in the rear springs for towing) Water pump Timing kit Lower timing case Harmonic Balancer Radiator Lots of other little seals and shits Gas struts for the bonnet New power window switches And god knows what else I've forgotten... Ha ha ha I have my fingers crossed the pinion seals don't start leaking on the diffs, that the transfer case doesn't leak, and the gearbox input shaft doesn't leak, nor the rear main seal. As they're about the only seals I haven't replaced in the driveline! I'm seriously eyeing off buying new caliper rebuild kits front and rear brake calipers... I'll probably recheck all the valve clearances soon too, and hopefully, it should be all good and sweet to haul some long distance trips again!
    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
    • The best part is when you own the car long enough that you look back and find your OWN ham fisted amateur shit!
    • The annoying part about neglect, is when you start to replace one thing, and find ten more broken things. Ham fisted monkey repairs you normally only find out about when trying to do something unrelated! Ha ha   Neglect you can kind of anticipate the huge costs to fix it all. Ham fistedness is normally a shock the first time your work on a new old car, as everything "looked" good before.
