Hey Nathan, your better off trying to talk to James and not Paul.

i got all your messages forwarded to me and your reply etc if you truly want to pull out now than James is the one to speak to but i'm not too sure how the return of money will go

As stated in my email, StS is the distributor and ACPT is the supplier. The group buy was organised through StS so they are therefore responsible for issues with their supplier. In other words, don't offer parts for sale that you can't get from your supplier. I have no issue with StS and this is obviously not "normal" practice for ACPT, it is just unfortunate for Paul that he is caught in the middle. And any communication with James is clearly having no effect.

Either way the matter has been referred to the Department of Fair Trading so they can decide what action to take if any.

I'll suggest it to him today. but i know what your getting at, it shouldnt be our problem to be chasing these things up.

I have already sent out Marc Palmer shaft and Nathan Wilson and keith

Sinclair are the only 2 that did not receive there drivesahfts correct? I

have no more shafts here and everything was shipped out. I have started to

remake these shafts for the 2 people you have on here and I am pushing them

to get out ASAP. If you need anything from me, feel free contact me.

did he give you a tracking number Keith?

Nope...claims that Fedex have lost the shafts. You just don't lose boxes that big like that. I cant believe that Fedex would stay in business very long losing packages. Having said that I bought some Snowboard gear through priceusa a couple of weeks ago and the proprietor told me that the ups tracking number was relatively pointless as they enter it wrong...it has a bar code so how does that happen? The snowboard gear has turned up on time though...so go figure. :D

Same explanation I got from James today and he quoted my home address not the workshop address. There is more to this than meets the eye friends :)

When/if it gets here that will work out well as the centre bearing feels likes its going so it will save me replacing it

So of the lucky guys who have reviced their shafts... anyone fitted one up yet?

Anyone care to confirm what parts received? It appears we might have to make up a 5mm spacer...

Any other R32 guys have one in the car? Care to confirm how it went and what parts you have? (Just checking I arent missing something)

Michael

ok thanks

thats exactly what Mark is doing for me, making up a new spacer. :)

I wasnt sure If I was missing something out of my kit or if they ship them like this. You'd expect them to trial their product properly...

There is no way it should be designed to just shit on that lip and not go all the way home!

cheers

It's already done and on your car. I had a look at it today. :D

    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
    • Yeah, I would have said the same. It makes me suggest that there are other things wrong, such that the ECU is totally unhappy with the broken sensor. The only other thought here is that maybe it is shorted, which might cause a different issue to the typical "disconnected" sensor.
