Hi guys, just wondering if there are any places where my mates and I can learn how to drift in the Northern or Northern West or North East parts of Sydney. Maybe near Parramatta or Blacktown or Hornsby or something.

As we all live in the north of Sydney (one guy in inner west) Oran Park is a bit too far for us, and that's the only one we know of so far. =)

Thanks guys.

Eastern Creek - look for when Initial D are holding drift days...

Ahh that's what I was looking for thanks! =)

Do they ever run any drift schools? I've been reading they're website and they seem to hold most of their stuff in Oran Park?

Anyone know of any other organisations that run stuff at Eastern Creek, or other tracks that we could learn to drift at?

they sometimes hav drift days at EC..your other options would be Oran park or Wakefiled in Goulbourn...up to you..but just have a look in the NSW Events section... :)

Dude, Oran park isnt that far, I live in Pennant Hills and try and attend every initial drift day, takes me around an hour, we have a fair few guys in IDA who live in newcastle, now thats far! not many events are held in eastern creek anymore, mostly OP. Skidpan days are good to get started in but they are few and far between so an OP North day is your best option

When i first saw this post i thought you guys were looking for back-streets to learn on, but after reading the thread i think its great that you are looking to learn the correct way in a controlled environment under instruction. Well done guys, hope more young blokes follow your example.

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
