I recall driving past someplace (maybe Wingfield) that sold cheap (second hand but good tread?) tyres.

I need 2 for some 18" mags I've acquired. Where can I find a place that sells them? Z imports?

I believe it is. How much would you pay, once you have written your car off and are injured in hospital, to go back and buy decent tyres instead of cheapies? A lot, I would guess. I always buy high quality tyres, which have great traction, but more importantly great braking ability. It is the tenths of seconds that matter when you are sliding toward a small child who runs out in front of you.

Alot of crap out there these days. If its for a non performance daily then its not so bad but when I see people throw $90 china specs on there turbo imports.....I try not to drive to close to them..

I think there are a few second hand tyre places around like used tyre mart etc or if you go into a large tyre power they usually will have some out the back. Iam not saying all China tyres are bad but if you are going to purchase them do some research first, Wanli would be the worst out of the lot in my opinion.

^^^ I can't agree more Ryan. Having anything less than the GIIIs I have on the back would scare the absolute bejeesus out of me. How people with similar power run the Chinese crap with little grip is beyond me.

Wanli's for me have treated me well so far.....but i can now after about 6 months feel that the grip isnt there.....there is a lot of tread left on the tyre but it just doesnt like griping......thats the bad thing about these tyres i guess....i have run Clears and Nankang on my ride before and Nangkang was really really good.....but the problem is with soft compound tyres they dont last long....
