Ssqv Installed After Safc Tune.

hey all i just had my ssqv installed. backfiring heaps lately.

i had my safc tune b4 the ssqv was installed.

do i need to retune it or it makes no diff??

n one more question.

if i have a recirculation adapter for my ssqv, will there be any affect if i change between atmo n plumb back once a while.

pritty common problem with atmo bovs on rb25's. you dont have to get the safc tuned again, but you can use the DEC-AIR feature on the safc to help the ecu cope with the loss of vented air.

BOVs won't effect performance or anything.. unless ur running high boost and the stock one's leaking

you dont have to retune your car

you can use dec air so it doesnt stall at the lights, but you have to be careful because that can effect the cold start too... it happened to me

check your cold start airflow using the safc and set it at that.. but even with that the car still stalls...

or just change your driving style, don't drop to neutral and roll to the lights, only drop to neutral just before the car's about to come to a stop, then this way it won't stall

Only thing that is different is the backfire and the wanker noise

Is this with only SSQV BOV? Never heard of stalling issues with BOV.

/\ -- for post above..stalling issues are common with ATMOS bov's due to the loss of air quickly when slowing down eg to lights when in neutral etc or i have even heard of it when people drive slow between gears. it tends to happen under load.

oH, well then im lucky i don't have those issues cuz i love atmo BOV And if my car had those issues i rather take it off.
