Vg30 Turbo Question

hay just wanted to know what kind of vg30 turbo this is?,plain or ball bearing?ceramic or steel wheel?if you can tell from the pics.

also does this version fit on a rb20 with minimal modifation,its of a later model 300zx twin turbo?

that turbo in your photos, is a twin turbo 300zx turbo .. no good for rb20 applications as the flange isnt T3.

you want the single turbo version.

im quiet sure there is a topic on how to identify them if you do a search.

but a 300zx single turbo vg30 has 45V or Op6 on the rear of the exhaust housing.

Just get the 0p6 housing and hiflow your stock tubo.

given it only appears to have a single turbine inlet, that would seem to belong on a VG30DETT. Also the comp cover looks different to the DET version that comes with an OP6 turbine housing.

standard vg30 op6 is laggy on a 25 imo

on a 20 I wouldn't recommend it

yep - I had a vg30 highflow on my 25 and I swapped it for a 25highflow. on a 3Lt the vg30 highflow would be good.
