But only has 4 ignition drivers unless you want to get a V88.

Hopefully haltech will release more plug and play models

I do not know how the ignition outputs work but there is a plugin model for both the R33 and R34 skyline.

the plugin model runs wasted spark (two coils fire at once) i have not had any issues with this setup as of yet.

Our street/circuit GTR runs a plug-in...over 600hp (24psi) at all four and pulls harder than a one armed 15 year old with a stack of porno's.

Hi guys, I'm using a plug in VIPEC in my R32 GTR for 3 months now and since the install there's been an intermittent problem with my Atessa which brings up the code for TPS fault. I've read a post somewhere by someone saying that this problem had happened and was possibly caused by the ECU creating a voltage drop (also with an Autronic) and the correction was a voltage buffer or some sort. Could anyone get into detail about what the fix is? I'm getting tired of losing my AWD mid corner on a hard drive and having to turn the car off to reset the Atessa..... Please help.

I'm only running 302whp at the moment but building for 500whp this winter and I can't have the chances of intermittent traction loss. Thanks guys.

Check your TPS is correctly adjusted and tightened firmly...the plug-in boards have never had an ATESSA issue...only the V88 when running the early harness adaptor.

Thanks! I'll check it out. I didn't know it was only the V88. Was hoping it was any of them lol. Back to the head scratching...

Can anybody recommend a distributor that I can contact to purchase one of these ECU's from??

The distributor local to me is one that I wont go to for seperate reasons and being in TGassie makes it hard to shop around some.

I am looking for somebody who can supply an ECU with a base tune already in it so we only need to fine tune it to my car.

Would like to have this in a and running before christmas.

Speak to Brett West at Adelaide Performance Engineers (Graham West Workshops) see what he can do.

I was in Burnie a few months ago, nice little town!

Curious to know what message do people get when they hook up their ecu to their laptop for the first time? Ie when it's asking to install the drivers? Vi-pec are sorting out an issue with my ecu, but curious to know what peoples ecu's come up as.

Mine says found new hardware "Link G4 Extreme"...lol

So sounds like it should recognise it as a link?

hmm mine wont connect to my laptop running vista (cant find the drivers, ive tried multiple reinstalls on the laptop), and comes up saying link electrosystems ECU, but getting a new top board from VIPEC so will see if that sorts out my issues. It connected fine with my old xp laptop, but will not work under vista. And will also will now not connect under my other laptop running xp.

CeJay...my last post was supposed to be funny...sorry you missed it. Have you checked the vi-pec forum for answers?

Yes I have, and hopefully it's getting sorted, getting a replacement top board from Ray, because my ecu doesn't come up as a vipec, it comes up as a link. Was genuinely interested to see what other peoples ecu's register as.

And here i was trying to be funny and i was on the money.

We tried reflashing a Link with the Vi-pec firmware to test the theory that the hardware was the same...it didn't work. We tried flashing it back and it wouldn't work back as a Link...we killed it! Link sent us another one to replace it.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
