Hhmm....I think i have more of a chance of being sponsored - see 2 extra doors to put brand names on, means more cash, means by the time you get into 10.2, I should be into 9's, ...that is if my calculations are right, say $10k a door, 4 doors, total of $55,0..........

I'm officially hooked. So busy tonight. I think I shall make that a regular occurance, lots of fun, even if I was one of the slowest amongst the skylines. At least I beat a rex. Gotta work on those launches. Cyas all there next time!

Another enjoyable night at the drags.

There was a huge turnout and everyone seemed to get there early. Met a few new Skyline faces. Ran against Gester on his very first run down the strip he did a respectable 14.396.

A very nice blond girl in a very nice R33 pretty stock was doing 14.8's.

Steve....in between running up and down the staging lanes borrowing and returning helmets....managed a PB 13.2

Mick in the R32 did a 14.3 with a muffed 4th gear at 93mph...... that could have been his first high 13 :D .

I heard James did a 14.0.

I really must come to grips with this bl**dy clutch.....restarting the engine and heading off to the 60ft line at 1200rpm in seccond gear is never going to make for good ET's :)

I managed to get a best of 14.627 at 96.69mph for the night, although when my car was stock i ran a personal best of 14.483 at 97.11mph. The funny thing was that for my best run last night i turned the boost down to 5 psi from 10 psi and ran 0.2 of a second faster.

My new clutch seems to be the main problem (single plate ceramic with new flywheel and pressure plate). It was the first time i had raced with it and even when i dropped the clutch at 3 grand my car just sat at the line spinning the tyres. I've tried slipping it off the line but that doesn't work either. Oh well, looks like i'll be needing to invest in some slicks.

Ill talk TooQuik (white skyrhine which used to have a ding in the spoiler) into coming down, and giving you all a run for your money (or your cars).  Ill tell you now, by god that car has some grunt!  In fact im willing to put cash on TooQuik whipping any other R33 'rhine on the 1/4 mile.

So who's up for the challenge...Aye?

Ohhh please.....Are you this guys boyfriend or what? The car you're talking about is a stock Series 2 with a boost controller and a 400R kit....Hardly a car you should be talking up.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
