For $1000 dollars I'll do it here at home, yes I am qualified. Seriously to remove a auto and fit a manual is not going to cost a grand. Its an afternoons work at best. These performance shops make me mad, they'll build you a motor super cheap, but any job that should be easy, whaamo, big bucks, I cant work them out. I used to work at a Importer in Adelaide and we were charging $1500 fitted inc parts. (obviously not rb25 box, but other vehicles)

sorry but i think i would rather tilbrooks do it and at a work shop for that matter other than someone claming to be qualified and do it from a back yard! $1500 wow why even write that because we are talking about RB25 gear boxs not other cars so your quote doesnt even make sence and to remove an auto and fit a manual in a RB25 isnt an afternoon job!! oh but you know more tho

I am with kelly on this one....if i was getting a big job like this done then i would be making sure that a reputable workshop does the job instead of a backyard job......even though you prob are qualified and experienced MYRB30 but i still would take it to a workshop.....

I recommend Tilbrook auto and dyno, Nissan specialists, and you get what you pay for, just remember who built and who is the crew chief of the leading Drift Australia car at the moment, mark tilbrook. it just shows their quality of work. :D

13 Elm Street Hampstead Gardens :D

:teehee: you are a very blunt tool in the shed my friend and go back to the place you crawled out of idiot thats why tilbrook has a bigger business than you cause you do this shit all the time

i agree with getting a bigger workshop to do it out of peace of mind sort of thing, however, you dont need to have a large business to know what you are doing. I know of a few people that aren't in the trade but know endless amounts about cars etc. Sometimes having a big business doesn't necessarily mean your better but i agree, its best to get a workshop to do it if you dont know anyone in the know.

ive done a few manual conversions and i would imagine its as simple as, spigot bush, slave/master, clutch, flywheel, gearbox, corssmember, tailshaft, interior parts etc...nothing too strenuous.

    • You'd want to cap off the re-entry back into the dump too. Just something flat that can be held on by the Vband.
