Bubble
I read somewhere that a guy got his car to 185kw with a stock ecu.. possible? i want to get the most out of the stock ecu for the moment as i'm saving up to get a haltech ecu.. I have a stock ecu, 3inch dump, hi flo cat, 3 1/2 inch cat back, standard turbo, splitfire coils, pod filter, turbosmart bov and a turbosmart eboost2 (11psi) boostcontoller and i pulled 186kw@wheels. but i am half way through heaps of other supporting mods - including gready plenum, Q45 90mm throttle, gready fuel rail, 650cc injectors, gready intercooler (spec R), and new microtech computer. gazal
cool bubble guess my next mod will be a exhaust system and splitfire coils see what i can pull then.. dezz
I wouldn't get coilpacks until you need them...spend the $4-500 on something else. I ran with standard coils and ~250rwkw for months without misfire, and only bought coilpacks because they came up at a great price brand new. BRUNSKIGTST
didnt get to do my first dyno at racepace benno rang said its bad idea because turbo winding and really load but some ppl told me its because it used to be a track car and turbo could be boosted, it went up at 1 bar so it boosted to 13./14 psi i think, so not going to do my first till i have new turbo l Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/219020-my-first-dyno/page/2/#findComment-3871774 Share on other sites

dezz
pod filter also isn't essential...My car makes ~250rwkw with a stock airbox, so you're definitely not going to max it out with a stock turbo. gazal
hmm, think i might need the coils as my car backfires a bit at high boost so i was told... Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/219020-my-first-dyno/page/2/#findComment-3872356 Share on other sites

DogKnight
never been in a full stock gtst... must feeeel slow haha Cant say I have either, they are pretty much a rarity these days. To find one without an exhaust mod or even a pod is damn hard.
