Guys I need some sympathy. I had to go to the dentist today so I left work early. Leaving the car park at work I noticed that the tyre spun really easily. That's odd I thought. Luckily it was a short drive to the dentist.

So I checked the tyres thinking maybe I rolled through something. Yes one had an oily residue. But then I saw the puddle forming under the front spoiler! Oil was running out from the car and there were two lines into the car spot! I immediately shut down the turbo timer while looking at the oil pressure gauge. At least it was still getting pressure.

So then I had to sit and get my teeth cleaned all the time thinking - my car! Oh son of rajab what to do... Should I bypass the remote oil cooler and put the filter back on the block to get it home? How am I going to work in the car park? My wife being the rational one convinced me to get it towed home on a flat bed. Luckily it wasn't too far either.

I hate the feeling of the car on the tow truck being paraded through rush hour. How humiliating!

Now I have work functions going on until Sunday so won't have time to look at the car. ARGH! ;)

Well, on the upside at least the car never lost oil pressure and I had just changed the oil last weekend so it was fully topped up.

Won't have a chance to look at it until Sunday. I'm betting it is a fitting as the dribble is coming from two spots so it must be running down the line. The pressure hit 6.5 bar (cold, no I wasn't rev'n it) at max so I doubt it could have split a line.

I'll post the results when I get under it this weekend.

:wub: Checked the problem and It's only a pinhole in the oil line! :) :)

I'm so relieved that it isn't something more major. You know how your mind plays with you.. suddenly you realise that not only are the oil lines in front but so is the oil pump. What if that went out?

What does seem strange is that the pinhole is in the middle of the line, not an end nor is it at the tightest point. It is exposed as there isn't a gravel shield under my car. But this is stainless braided shielded lines with a plastic liner. How does something puncture that for a pinhole? And these are less than 6 months old too. I bought the kit from UAS in December and installed in January.

I'm thinking I'm going to replace all the lines just in case. I don't want this happening sometime/somewhere that I don't notice until the oil pressure goes to 0 then bye bye motor.

Anyways, happy story for now.

Thanks folks!
