Dont know where to start this post. We strapped my car on the dyno on friday in preperation for the track day today and thats when the bullshit started. Stainless highmount was warped and cracked again for the umpteenth time so game over.

Not so Says mic. I will custom build one and have it fitted and tuned in time. so he did. Then the shithouse braided turbo oil lines shit themselves, No probs says mic. goes and has custom hardpiping made up to suit.

Off we go again. blow off valve shits itself. No problems says mic, rebuilds it better than tyrbosmart intended. Away we go again. nice power, car idling and running beautifully, naking around 450 hp so we decide its time to dial in the water meth. WTF. lost the signal from the afm. several hours later and a long story short the w/meth signal was interfering with the afm and had done all along. several hours tuning down the farking drain. All this interspersed with the oiul filter blowing off on 3 different occasions and filling the bay and shop with hot oil.

Enough I said. Get f***ed said Mick, Get the hell out of my shop. So I did. 3 a.m. I gets a phone call. Hey bud. shane, Lazy bastard and I worked all night and fitted a haltech and retuned. 500 hp spinning the shit out of the tyres and still water meth to go. scarey.

BUT! She blew the farkin diff. OMG. So much respect to these guys for the unbelievable effort.

SIGNATURE PERFORMANCE YOU FARKIN ROCK

JINGA NINJA YOU ROCK

LAZY BASTARD YOU ROCK

I cant believe how fortunate we are to have men like Mick Oshea and Dan to give us such undodgy effort but today the sun shines firmly on Mick. You are a farkin champion mate along with your red headed sidekick. Hats off to the best effort I have ever seen.

Hate to be getting that bill, especially if they charge by the hour. Suppose once its up and running the cost wont matter as much as having a solid high power car, and a workshop that knows all the in's and outs of your ride, that you can count on time and time again.

knowing Mick the bill will be nothing like what it would have been at other places

nice job noel, hey curious what boost was all this done with? sounds like a little more winding to go in there yet

Can wind some more in if needed Adam but it just isnt neccessary bud. we still havnt really touched the tune as yet, just made it safe to make sure it was ok and it spat out the numbers we have been looking for all along. still got 1500/2000 rpm to throw at it yet plus a heap more timing and more fuel to come out and the water/meth setup to dial in.

I was beginning to think i had built a lemon until now. At last theres light at the end of the tunnel.

Hey noel,

it was good to meet you yesterday, also mick from signature thanks alot for helping me out when i got there.

Ill be back as soon as i can, the day really highlighted some things i need to do before i come back. How bad was my car sounding?

Also mountain runner if you are paul was good to meet you, you guys put on a great day thanks again :)

mick

I have one thing to say about all that...

YEEEEEAH BOI!

Effing love Mick :spank: Oh shaney, you're a'ight too... Weazel you suck :P

JK guys, we're a lucky bunch of SOB to have fellas like that huh!!! 5 gold stars for them ;)

Hi 2630GTS, your right MountainRunner = Paul and it was good to meet you also.

It sounded pretty bad up in the RPM range. Give Mick a call and get it on the dyno to sort it out before the next event. You got to run that car at the Nissan Meeting on July 8. It is one of the cleanest R32's I have seen.

Honour and respect are two great values that seem to be long lost in our modern living..

I know a diesel mechanic just like that, pitty he is crap with pretrol.

I read this post with interest and notted no vegatives, no mess or slander.. Hmm, does that make him a guru?

Anyhow, I am sure the whole expereince has left u with a very warm, humbling, fuzzy feeling.

I bought a 6 pack for the last guy who displayed traits like this, i did it when my mechinist did an all nighter to get a bunch of parts ready for me when i needed them done yesterday and i was knee deep in a broken car. He was more than happy to do it, and asked me to call again next time and bring a pair of 6 packs to share with him...

Congrats Noel!

noel that sucks but hats off to signature perfomance! can't wait to see the car in action with 500hp after all the time and buttloads of money into it! cheers mayne! Hame

p.s i bought an r32 project:D

  • 1 year later...

Sorry to dig up and old thread, but a year and a half later, and I still got the same amount of quality workmanship and effort in the 1st post. Bought a car, 2JZ powered S15, with so many clutch problems and now have been sourced and fixed by Mick and his team. Yea the bill at the end sucks but no one ever said motorsport was cheap...

Cheers, Matt...

    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
    • Harness is for a s1 Rb25det, and it is engine and lower harness.  the old harness had broken off plugs and was in very rough condition/exposed wires and splices etc. it is not able to be put back on the car, I could visually inspect to see if they had rewired any pins on the ecu plug. The fuel pump definitly isn’t turning off it’s an external pump and very loud you can hear it. Will look at the other harness tonight, am also going to pull the fuel rail and watch the injectors spray, will update here with what I find. Pretty sure at this point it has to be something to do with injectors because car will fire up on starting fluid and cas is clicking the Injectors. Fuel pressure is steady 43psi
    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
    • I haven’t pulled the injectors to watch them spray yet but they are clicking from the cas and all of the spark plugs are wet with fuel. I’ve thought the cylinders were being flooded from the beginning and was hoping fuel pressure would fix it. Tonight I am going to pull the rail and watch the injectors spray. Don’t know how to test/diagnose if the plugs are firing in correct sequence but that should be a timing thing and as far as timing goes my car still has the half moon for the cas can only install it 1 way. And my mechanical timing is 100% correct I posted photos above. Confirmed with the balancer on and off.
