I had a look, by the sounds of it (question 16 on the form) that is only for major mods that do require a mod plate. So unless you have anything which actually does need a mod plate just put no. You shouldnt be able to get a RWC if you have un-modplated mods anyway.

Yes CTP IS compulsary, thats what th C stands for. you pay that at QLD transport. Its different tyep of insurance to third party fire and theft etc from just cars.

changing rego is easy

you have to get the right form, its the same form as registering a new car but seeing as the rego is already in your name there is no fee to change over other than the cost of buying number plates

you need a RWC and you need to take this with your form and your car to a QLD transport office

then they will inspect your car to check that the engin and VIN numbers match with your form and you're done. you obviously have to pay QLD rego but you will get a refund of your remaining VIC rego

CTP is a compulsory insurance that is normally included in the VIC rego already. in QLD they allocate you a CTP automatically but you can choose a different one if you like.

this is separate from insurance which you still need to change over to your new plates with your insurance company

best of luck!

But you can't transfer rego interstate so there would still be the normal rego fee.

warren you make me laugh... quote yourself :D

and yes warren has confirmed it.. however there is an admin fee of $21.05 for new car rego.. i dont think they waive that fee even if it's your car (i mean dont forget this is the government here..

cliff.. i'm sure you meant in your question they giving you 14days to change to qld plates? (not vic license?).. just follow what warren has given you.. get a qld rwc (as rules on mods, etc are diff in all states) fill in the new car rego form (they dont recognise vic rego.. go down and register the car... while your there hand in your vic number plates.. they give you a receipt for the plates.. then you go on the vicroads website and get a form to mail (with receipt) and they will send you refund on your remaining rego..

Just Car insurance is easy jus update the address and plates.. but ctp is insurance on injuries to related parties.. diff from just car who insure the vehicles.. you get a choice of ctp insurance in qld.. (as the other guys stated)

i think it's roughly $340.00 for six months rego (including ctp)

done.. although that pretty much what warrren has summed up :(

Just reregistered my 34 recently.... all CTP is very very similar price in QLD within about $10 max from memory.... I'm with Allianz with mine ( I work for them, so I know wat I get for it... no discount still) 6 months is $333.00 total, $144.00 for ctp, rest was rego and fee and fee blah blah blah... 12 months was $634.95, $272.00 ctp rest is government pocket's stuff..

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
