and they even come with free bonuses. You can choose from:

hepatitis;

nits;

mange;

and the entire range has a lovely odour of sweaty armpit. :(

LOL!

No they dont, It's a helmet ...and it's an option

No need for childishness, some might not be able to afford a helmet straight away and who are we to make fun of a option that is there!

Geez.......this place will never change! :)

This day isnt cheap you know for some one that is just starting: Once you pay for Entry Fee, Race Licence, Tyres, Fuel ,Accomodation, Fluids, Brake Pads, Gloves, Race Boots, car parts if needed and a helmet...It all adds up to be like a $500 weekend! and how many newbies do we have coming for there first time, can we just be mindful..

Weather is looking good, at least for Southern Highlands min 2 c max 14c no rain clearing cloud.

Zed is looking good to make it. Doing lots of little things to it this week still.

JP are you bringing the boat???

Quick question, really unimportant but a question anyways...

At the moment I have a choice of taking 2 front bars.

One is white like the rest of my car (probably because its the factory one that came with it :)) but has a gash in the side of it and the indicator/fog light surround is non existant. Lights are intact

The other is black but is in almost perfect condition.

Do I go to the track this weekend with a white or black bra? :laughing-smiley-014:

.Perhaps saying bra instead of bar was intentional.

I haven't damaged a front bar at the track yet :( *touches wood* Is your car lower then standard?

As a precuation I would take the white one down instead of your nice black one..

Are you expecting to be fast? People will be moved as appropriate but we hope to get groupings as close as possible before the day starts.

well never done wakie so don't know how i'll go. plus if your constantly overtaking ppl it can get annoying.i'll see how i go when i'm there

More information then please. Have you done any other track? Have you got a lot of power? GTR or GTST?

I don't think it would really matter but it's going to get dirty if so.

Most people know the costs involved. That's why they usually save the day or take so long in getting the car ready.

It's called dedication to the sport and the love of motorcars.

New brake pads, gloves and race boots aren't necessary items. You're the only one who seems to be stiring people up here Jess. We are just having a laugh about the hired helmets. Most people usually borrow helmets off a friend to save a few dorrahs.

Just a bit of humour, no need to get upset :( . We all know how expensive track days can be. I do believe however, that considering the amount of money we spend of our cars, it is wise to invest a bit of money on something that is going to protect your head.

For those hiring helmets, be aware that they are limited and although they have quite a few they are all different sizes. So if there are a lot of people with the same size head you may have to settle for an ill fitting helmet.

Edit : will rephrase : No need to scare off newbies and most dont really know what they are getting into till they try the day out as per all the questions getting ask in this thread..

Even without the things you have said above that arent "necessary" fuel alone is a huge cost...

Not getting upset Apollo: All I said was to be mindful not everyone knows the "in house jokes".

Fuel is a part of life. With the petrol price rising we all have to deal with it. It's a 1/4 tank to get down there from the start of the M5 a full day on the track in my car takes up another 1/4 full day in the GTR is 1/2 tank.

I think people have worked out the cost. We aren't trying to scare them off we want more inexperienced people to come to our events That's what we are all about. This year is looking great with 2 groups full of people who have never hit the track before.

I don't see any in house jokes in the thread. We don't have anything against anyone. You're the only one who seems to think otherwise.

Now enough of that.

Only a couple more days everyone! Get your excited pants on! :)

*Grabs pirate hat out*

i have one r33 gtr, you may know of it, it use to be andrews. no other track days but have done a few street circuits if you could call them that(old pac, nasho etc) give me a couple pf laps and i should be right.

Weather outlook is getting a bit worse.

It's better than this morning. It said before 5mm of rain 50% chance.

checked another site and it says clearing morning shower. 30% chance of less than 1mm rain. :-)

Gotcha. I'll start you in group 2 but you can move up to group 3 after the first session if you need it.

I know a couple of people have offered to help but can I please just confirm I need one or two people who can promise to be there by 8:30am at the latest and can time the sessions and man the flags for me. Two people is good cos they keep an eye on each other and keep each other company.

It's highly unlikely that you will get stuck doing it all day if you don't want to as there will be other people around who can take over. I just need you to commit to the morning.

Hey all just curious as to what we do if it rains??? Are we still on???

I know my tyres are hoping for rain ;) .....

    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
