There are different Types of drift, Power Oversteer, Scandinavian flick, Hand Brake drift and just Loss of Control...

The Type of drift is up to the driver... But Proffessional drifting is being sideways before you take the corner...

Extra points for arm out window...

If your looking out the drivers side or passenger side window to see where the f**k your going for more than a couple of seconds without spinning or overcorrecting... your drifting

sideways is sideways it just comes down to how long you can hold it like that... (directly proportional to the size of your balls)

Yep!

As soon as the car is sliding, it's "drifting". To what degree depends on how much skill you have and the perfomance of the car.

if you really REALLY want to know and want to buy a kick ass DVD you should get the Speacial edition Best Motoring Drift Bible it is bad ass. Keiichi Tsuchiya is teaching you how to properly drift.
That is the Vid to watch guys.

I mean I think Tsuchiya should know what he is talking about. They call him the "Drift King" because he practically invented it!!

Seriously, this DVD will open your eyes. You will come away after watching it with a whole new understanding. I sure did.

90% of what you think you know about Drift is just plain WRONG.

Invest the $39.00 and get wised up.

PowerSlide = POWER, powerslide is all about power. ohh yeah and if u get sidewayz after entering the concer its a powerslide

Drift = nothing to do with power, all about skill and technique. If you watch drift bible you should be able to get a good idea on how to drift, Most drift requirer the car to be sideway before entering the concer for example when using the handbrake, u pull it before entering the concer and rls it just as u start to turn into the concer

HandBrake and Brake Drift, should be the easies drift to pull off when u start drifting; and basicly explain drifting as the car is already sidewayz (or movin from being straight to sideway) before u enter the concer.

Justin, it's a sad sight back home...but we must forgive them they have never been properly taught in the art of freestyle driving :D

This is drifting...click or click and save...enjoy!

Please tell me this is just an inexperienced "Drifter" getting all excited about losing traction for the first time!

Please DON`T tell me that Danny from "Japanese Motorsport" is the only guy in Australia that can drift!!!!

If you want to click on over to http://www.driftzone.com you can get plenty of footage of Australia's current national drift champion (Darren Appleton, not Danny from JMS) as well as many other excellent Australian drifters in action.

You'll find plenty of drifting, and you might mistake it for powersliding. Of course the difference is usually in your head.

Its a sad shame when some people are so quick to label all Aussies as wanna-be's just because they're not Japanese.

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
