unfortunately they're not immaculate, way too many kms & still need tyres for compliancing.

If they tell you it "runs well" only, it's probably been on the track a few times

Lol 'run's well' could be translated into engrish as 'well it run's'

George's car sounds tough tough though

I agree boys, im just pointing out the fact that the prices are falling, so even though they are not the best condition, the good condition ones wont fetch THAT much more.

That guy's name is Peter & he's a backyard importer from Sydney.........that blue one is definitely 100% NOT a V-Spec.

He advertises regulary and says all his imports are immaculate.....

Ask him how much a good V-Spec is and he'll tell you they start at $50K

C'mon Kietz do some investigating before you post this misleading crap :D

and his name on the add says Gilbert not peter lol and how you know its 100% not a vpsec? theres no visual difference between the base version and the vspec version, besides the lil sticker. so =P

hey kietz, don't take my word for it, ring him up yourself.

He uses a lot of different names and don't be surprised if he tells you the one in the picture is sold (ie. never existed in the first place I'm guessing).

I'm not saying that he does this, but there are a few backyarders that take your deposit and import one for you then don't be surprised when they charge you $5-$10K more than the original quote when it lands.

ok than i believe you since you went hunting for your own 34 gtr so i cant argue with you. and yea 45k for a vspec does sound abit dodgey.

trust me Kietz, I looked day & night for months in Aust & Japan to find an immaculate one for reasonable money.

I keep hearing how cheap the BNR34 V-Spec's are now (and granted they maybe a bit cheaper than last year, what car isn't) but I've yet to see a cheap good one for myself.

Everytime someone trys to show me one, there's usually something wrong with it or way too many kms.

I am on the Prestige R34GTR list at the moment, just for a looksie. A very nice looking white GTR sold yesterday for 1.809M yen (picture has disappeared off the website already :O ) - that is just over $30k landed AND complied. Unbelievale - given I paid 970,000 yen for my R34 not even 2 years ago. Yes it has done 124,000km, but given most people will want to crack the engine and freshen it up eventually, and change over the suspension components, for an extra $10k you get a freshened up motor and brand new suspension. As long as the interior is in good nick - who cares?

This link will only work for a few more hours (click)

But yours is truly IMMACULATE Pete, and was a great buy for the price, given the outstanding condition.

well said scandyflick......want a RWD why get a GTR just get a GTST or GTT and slap in the RB26....why get a GTR and make it into a GTST or GTT

Jap Import Spares currently have in stock an R34GTR motor complete with turbos, fuel rail and injectors, and all items to get up and running. It even has a modified sump for rwd! So tempted - pity it is $8,500 = OUCH! Good value I suppose given it is complete, but for the price of selling my car plus the $8.5k, hopefully I will pick up a 34GTR in the not too distant future.

    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
