as said above i wouldnt buy an r34 unless its a gtr..

i've had 3 skylines already, i tend to keep getting the frekn r33!!!!!

shall change my minds next time hahahhaha.

but again, its ur call, which car makes u woah more!

there is nothing wrong with choose a lower model car, if u like it, if ur happy with it choose it

goodluck!

R34 = Square ass

R33 = Sexy curvy ass

haha... just watever u feel looks best... its your car after all.

LOL! Ironically thats wat i used to say when i had a r33 to make myself feel better, until i actually got a r34 i realised i was just being a jealous boy :)

heheh but i still love r33's but it needs a gtr wing

Hey guys, cheers for the info, ive opted for the R34 at last :)

Im just waiting for my loan to get approved, and off to buy the car then BOOM! pictures galore !! haha

I'll give you guys some information when it comes to hand, my dad looked at the R34 this sunday and loved it to death, he was sceptical at first because underneath the rubber seals in the boot there was rust, but he reassued me that he'll fix it himself.

Then he went around the car looking at the paint work, then engine bay, then the interior.

Looks great, then got the owner to jack up the car and dad started to work with it underneath, checked everything and then gave me a nod.

Hahaha that was my hektik sunday !!

It only copped rust near the boot, where the seal had a little whole that had water going through.

it was only a small rust, the car comes with GTR BRAKE system which hasnt been installed yet, dads gonna do that, and it comes with gauges and original wing aswell.

go for an autech S15 iv driven an N/A R34 and my gf just bought an R33 N/A they are pretty weak the s15's have some punch in them and throw you back in the seat all and all just much more fun to drive plus most of the autech S15's come with almost 7 grand mods already attached to them much better buy

i didnt buy my r34 from a private seller i got it from power road carsales in vic so its a bit far away for you to come down and take a look. is your r34 your looking at a 2 door or 4 door?

when i was looking for a skyline i was going to get a r32 or r33 i never even considered getting an r34 until i turned up and had a look at one and took it for a test drive. plus it was 4 door, something different. and i love it. just remember if you have stock coilpacks in the car they will die sooner than later especially worse on a hot day (thats when mine died) so i bought splitfire ones and its all good.

agreed i would take an autech S15. but they are dearer.

rust in the boot, common problem around the centre brake light apparently.

Rust scares me, if i found any i would pull out. but i could be being anal.

If its where you can see it then where is it that you cant see

Yeah i guess so, im just waiting for the funds to be approved, i hope it does, but i got a gut feeling it wont because ive only been employed here for 3 months and they might not consider that as a stable income -.- .

I swear if it comes back declined im gonna' be so depressed !! haha

Definitely the R34. The R33 is losing its class these days, so many scummers drive them. I went and test drove an R34 with my mate the other day, and I reckon up close and in person they look like a seriously mean car. Meaner than the 33, which just looks sexy.

I'd love an Autech S15!!!

Agree though they are a fair bit dear.

I remember when was around 17, seeing my first skyline r33 in the flesh, was a white R33 GTST around Garden City (SOR Perth).

I was impressed by how clean it was, and how fresh the design was compared to the falcons & commies of the day.

Unfortunately these days 33 GTSTs are common as muck, but still a much more beautiful kinda of muck compared to some of the crapodores out there.

    • So, this shouldn't be such a mission, but there were a few tricks so I thought I'd post up a DIY for it. This was on a Q50 Red Sport but I doubt any other V37 model is very different (maybe just less steps for the intake heat exchanger hoses) I pulled the radiator out to flush it because the car was running hot at the track, but obviously the same steps apply for changing a radiator for any reason including an upgrade. If you are removing the radiator, you of course need to drain and refill, so have 5+ litres of blue coolant ready. You don't need to drain the intake heat exchanger to remove the radiator but depending on your plans you may need a couple of litres for that as well. You will also need something to deal with the auto transmission lines, I used 2x 8mm rubber caps on the radiator side, and a short length of 8mm pipe on the car side.....unless you can block these lines quickly you will loose AT fluid and it may be enough to hurt the transmission if you don't refill it. Other than that....lets go... "First, jack up your car". Yes really, and put it safely on stands. If you are not confident doing that you need to give this job to a mechanic
    • If the forester is anything like our old 2007 GTB Liberty, I could near on run ling Long's and "rate them", as no matter what, it just hung to the road, even when abusing it in a hard launch in the wet, or throwing it at corners.
    • LOL, all of the CAI like Craig I just need to put a hole saw through my bumper Done and dusted, the car runs, which is nice, I'll take it for a spin when the weather clears up Just need to put the bumper back on for good
    • Brooooo Please send ABS control unit schematic Please! R33 gts25t ABS (Its two plug ecu, black and white) wire colors possible? [email protected]
    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
