Craved
Hey guys, got myself an air/fuel guage from autometer and was wondering if anyone has had problems installing this/ wiring into the loom for the oxygen sensor???? got the diagram on the guages box for install, but was wondering if anyone has done this themselves and whether you've got any tips for this install!! Cheers in advance! Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/22177-airfuel-meter-guage-install/ Share on other sites

B-Man
YEah I did it. Tap into positice & negative under the dash. To get your O2 sensor signal , i THINK it's the middle wire off the O2 sensor - best to check though - USe a DIGITAL mutimeter and find which of the 3 wires to the O2 sensor is fluctuating voltage (millivolts to like +3 V as I recall ) Also, try a search - that's where I got my info from initially. Craved
Thanks heaps B-Man, i'll do this next week! just one futher question, is it better to do it close to the actual sensor or it doesn't matter Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/22177-airfuel-meter-guage-install/#findComment-482881 Share on other sites
B-Man
I tapped in mine close to the O2 Sensor cause I couldn't be bothered finding the pinout on the ECU. Good luck -- Oh and BTW - the AFR guages are not really that accurate (actually I think it's the O2 sensor) - Eg: when I got mine dyno'd the lamda prope told us 1:12's (i think) but the AFR guage was reading super rich - go figure - It's really just a guage - I only ever rally look at mine if it is reading lean - which it never has under load..... Craved
finally installed this guage, it's the white centre wire! and the guage has instructions that show that the stoich is not what we would call a good A/F ratio Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/22177-airfuel-meter-guage-install/#findComment-877179 Share on other sites
