do we no he was away forsure tho?? how could we get it back coz ud have to b stupid to go driving in a stolen car round adelaide liek 100%... if i were u id post up in the stop the stagea section aswell...

i'm on this f**king forum :)

work full time for a living, was with about 6-7 people mountain biking at the time that i don't really know at all but i could get them to back me up if need be.. not to mention how would i know that he was going to park it at marion the next morning?

i was stunned when i read that it was stolen.

yeah cmon guys - the ex-owner has come on here and explained he is legit.

The car was stolen without an alarm or club lock, from one of the stolen car hot spots of Adelaide. You are pretty much begging to have your car stolen if you have no alarm at Marion, Tea Tree Plaza, Hollywood Plaza, Elizabeth City Centre, Colonnaides etc etc

Information that would have been useful to me sooner :) lol

I honestly was unaware that it was a hot spot. I might just be living under a rock, but I haven't heard anything about cars being stolen from Marion.

damn assholes, when you find who did it, teach them a painful lesson! hope ya find it soon!

i'm sure his wasn't the only car without an alarm in that carpark, bastards just decided to take his instead of something else

But then if the thieves are just joy riding and crashes the car - the insurance assessor goes over it finds out theres no alarm, he gets charged with fraud - the insurance is null and voided and he is stuck with no insurance and a f**ked Stagea.

say the owner told him that it had an alarm maybe? hadnt had the car long, long enough to realise the previous owner was talking shit?

anyways, farkin hot car, will definately be able to identify it if i see it round my area.

I'd be careful talking about fraudulent activities here on the forum... not suggesting that you do lie, but if you do I'd definately make sure that you don't leave any evidence that could see you land in the shit... ie. this thread

man i remember the days you didnt need an alarm, i worked at TTP for a year and a half, parked my 31 there everyday and it didnt have an alarm then, never got touched, these days i dont reckon i could leave it there 3 hours before something would happen to it if it still didnt have an alarm.

Best of luck getting the car back in one piece mate.

People..... another chance for you all to realise, alarms, clublocks, kill switches....use them all!

As Kristian said, it's a manual conversion..Centre console is an Auto one that has been modified to fit the handbrake and gear shifter with what is like carbon fibre print contact on it. Has a Razo CF/alloy gear knob, factory optioned Momo steering wheel on it too. Tyres are Hankooks. Bonnet has a few spots of dark red paint on it. No rear wing on it.

On the top of the roof at the back there are two marks where adhesive is/was for the aerials. They got ripped off during compliance and a tiny bit of paint is missing, and some of the adhesive is still stuck on there. Obviously not noticeable if the car if driving, but if it's stationary, it would probably be obvious enough..

ok this has really woken me up to what happens here in adelaide in reagards to car thefts.

i have a clublock, and alarm, but no kill switch, yet.

i want to take to fuel pump fuse out before work, but cant read the fuse box cover, coz its in jap.

which one is it?

Sure it'll slow them down a little, but it doesn't take very long to swap a fuse back over, a good quality alarm with multi-point immobiliser; insurance; and being careful when/where you park it are all you can do. Shit if they really want your car it'll end up on the back of a tilt-tray and there's nothing you can do to stop that.

^^^ very true Ash .... the main benefit of an alarm is that they will target another car instead of yours, as yours is too much trouble. Hence why I have a big blue flashing "Viper" thingo on my dash - yes in some ways it is bad to reveal your alarm brand to potential thieves, but even the dumbest thief couldn't miss the big blue flashing sign and the bright blue led next to the steering wheel. If they put in the 'too hard' basket and move on to the next car, then its job is done. Even if they had a go at my car, it would be a bitch for them to figure out the 3 immobilisation points, 2 kill switches and battery backup siren (not to mention the 4 piezo sirens I have hidden around the car that make your ears bleed if you are in the car and the alarm is sounding).

But like Ash said, if they really want it and have enough time without being disturbed, they can steal any car. Which is important where and when you leave it unattended. Sad to say, but this is the world we live in.

Unfortunately too the old protection that Stags used to offer (being station wagon sleepers) seems to have worn off, as it would seem the crooks have figured out how cool/fast these cars are and have started stealing them.

nobody cares abouit alarms going off either i used to have a towing business once i had to pick up a car that had broken down in a shopping centre backed the truck up and dragged it up onto the tray i did not have the keys and the alarm started screaming and i could not shut it up.

had the car on the back of the truck with the alarm screaming it's head off driving down main north road pulled up at lights next to police car and they didnt give a shit in fact nobody did i drove it clear across town to the dealer by that time the battery was going flat and they alarm was sounding sick .

the whole journey took about 45 mins i had a bloody head ache by time i dropped it off tho lol

Shit if they really want your car it'll end up on the back of a tilt-tray and there's nothing you can do to stop that.

I'm about to buy one of those GPS GSM Modules, from the GroupBuy on this forum. If the alarm goes off, it sends an sms to your mobile. You can then sms back, and get the GPS co-ordinates of your car. So even if it is on a truck, you'll be able to find it. The module is small enough to hide anywhere, and even if the power is disconnected, it has a backup battery.

    • Back again. I returned to Japan in Jul/Aug to spend time with the car on my birthday and remind myself what all the sacrifice and compromise is for. It happened to line up with the monthly morning meet in Okutama, which I have been wanting to go to for a long time. It's a unique event at a unique spot with really rare, interesting, and quirky cars. It's where all the oldheads and OGs gather. The nighttime scene at DKF certainly has its place and should be experienced if you're into cars, but there's too much bad attention and negativity around it now. IMO the better time is Sunday morning at DKF or Okutama; it's more chill and relaxed. I'm glad I was finally able to go, but not sure it's worth the drive from all the way from Nagoya immediately the day before, unless I was already staying in Tokyo for the days right before the meet, because you have to wake up quite early to make it in time. Funnily enough though I didn't drive the car all that much this trip because it was just too damn hot. While there were zero issues and running temps were nominal and the A/C was strong, RBs already run crazy hot as it is. Sure, it took it all like a champ but something about driving these cars in the ridiculous heat/humidity bothers me and makes me feel like I'm asking too much of it. I'm just me being weird and treating the car like a living thing with feelings; I'm mechanically sympathetic to a fault. Instead I was mainly driving something else around - a KX4(silver) 2001 X-Trail GT, that I acquired in May. There's a few different flavors to choose from with Xs, but visually it's the Nissan version of the Honda CR-V. Mechanically it's a whole different story as this, being the top-trim GT, has an SR20VET mated to a four-speed auto and full-time AWD! It was a very affordable buy in exceptional condition inside and out, with very low mileage...only 48k kms. Most likely it was owned by an older person who kept it garaged and well-maintained, so I'm really happy with how it all worked out. It literally needs zero attention at the moment, albeit except for some minor visual touch-ups. I wanted something quirky, interesting, and practical and for sure it handily delivers on all three of those aspects. I was immediately able to utilize the cargo and passenger capacity to its full extent. It's a lot of fun to drive and is quite punchy through 1st and 2nd. It's very unassuming -in the twisty bits it's a lot more composed than one would think at a glance- and it'll be even better once I get better tires on it(yes, it's an SUV but still a little boat-y for my liking). So...now I have two golden-era Nissans in silver. One sports car and one that does everything else; the perfect two-car solution I think👍 The rest of the trip...I was able to turn my stressed brain off and enjoy it, although I didn't quite get to do as much as I thought. I did some interesting things, met some interesting people, and happened into some interesting situations however, that's all for another post though only if people really want to know. Project-wise, I went back to Mine's again to discuss more plans and am hoping to wrap that up real soon; keep watching this space if that interests you. Additionally, while working in the tormenting sweatbox that is the warehouse, I was able to organize most of the myriad of parts that my friend is storing for me along with the cars, and the 34 has a nice little spot carved out for it: And since it can get so stupid hot in there, that made it all the more easy -after I was standing there looking at the car and said 'f**k it'- to finally remove all the damn gauges that have mostly been an eyesore all this time. Huzzah. The heat basically makes the adhesive backing on the gauge mounts more pliable to work with, so it was far less stressful getting this done. I didn't fully clean it up or chase the wiring though; that will happen once I have the car in closer possession. Another major reason to remove all that stuff is to give people less reasons to get in my car and steal s**t while it's being exported/imported when/if the time comes, which leads us to my next point... ...and that is even though it's time in Japan is technically almost up since it's a November car and the X would be coming in March, I'm still not entirely sure where my life and career is headed; I don't really know what the future looks like and where I'm going to end up. I feel there's a great deal of uncertainty with me and as a result of that, it feels like I'm at a crossroads moreso now than any point in my life thus far and there are some choices I need to make. Yes, I've had some years to consider things and prepare myself, however too much has happened in that time to maintain confidence and everything feels so up in the air; tenuous one might say. Simply put, there's just too much nonsense going on right now from multiple vectors. Admittedly, I'm struggling to stay in the game and keep my eyes on the prize. So much so in fact, that very recently I came the closest I ever have before to calling it quits outright; selling everything and moving on and not looking back. The astute among you will pick up on key subtext within this paragraph. In the meantime I've still managed to slowly acquire some final bits for the car, but it feels nice knowing there's not much left to get and I'm almost across that finish line; I have almost everything I'll ever want for my interpretation and expression on what it is I think an R34 should be. 'til later.
    • Thanks for that, hadn’t used my brain enough to think about that.
    • Also playing with fire if they start to flow more air down low than what the stock twins can. It's not even up top you need to worry, it can be at 3000rpm and part throttle and it's getting way more flow than it should.
    • Any G40/1000 or G40/1250 results out there?
    • You still want a proper tune on the stock ECU though. Stock tune + stock ECU with GT-SS/-9s is probably playing with fire if you're running more than stock airflow/power.
