Sorry i should clarify, NOT A FULL ENGINE POLISH! but for a good amount that catches the eye, not at all.

Give Mick a call at Briffa engineering, he should still be in Morley, let him know your budget. The guy always has time to go through with you what would look best for minimal amount of money.

Be quite precise on what parts you want polished eg top of head, he also managed to get a hold of some braided look covers, it is complete rice but it did finish the engine bay off, also prob polish the top of your plenum or produce a plenum cover to make it look more neat, do you have a strut brace? get that repolished as well.

Just be imaginative and think about what the main parts are, you will be surprised what you can get done with him for $500, imagine what you could then get done for $1000! Now i got mine done about 3 years ago, soooo yes there is a thing called inflation and that $500 may now be $600,however you should still be able to get a bit done for around that mark.

See what the cost would be to get some braided look hose covers, head polished, plenum polish or a cover, strut brace polish, also where the bonnet closes he can make a nice little cover as well, goes over the radiator similar to the proffesionally made one by ARC.

Masters maybe right that may go over $500 but you can cut that down or go through what is needed out of that.

This is off SLY which might i add is for sale here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sl...-S-t199601.html (free plug for me :-) )

Now this photo is kinda like a stage 1 polish i guess you could say, intercooler pipes, braided hosing, head polish, strut polishing. Now a LOT more polishing has gone into it since but for her first show she really did look the part. That was from 2003 when Briffa did it, however he is a very good guy and if you only had a budget of $500 I am sure he can try and help you out where ever he can spend time on, whilst you may not get everything i did for that price in 2003 you would get somethuing pretty good!

Also if a big guy wants to take a pic of your car and he has a very expensive camera and introduces himself as TJ, cover your crutch or at least make sure your zip is done up.

In all honesty TJ takes some great pics so try and get some of the girls near your car, some of the mags like it when the girls are near your car, you can pretty much have a POS Herbie the love bug, but whack a few promo girls wearing next to nothing near it, take a pic and *WHAM* next thing you know your car is on the cover of the next auto salon mag :-)

Hahaha!!

Only your crotch :P

    • Ok thanks..that was my second question if i can somehow bypass this even with Nistune(that is all i have right now...aparat from stock ECU. So with some aftemarket it can by "bypassed" or make it work?  I know there is Link or Haltech (mainly used). We have ECUmaster here so i will gather some info about it.
    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
