Hi Guys,

Really need some pictures of anyone who's got 18" wheels on an R32 GTSt with +35 offset. Actually, anyone who has 18s on an R32 GTSt at all, please post a photo or two stating what the offset is, and what the wheel width is. I'd also really like to know what size tyres are on the wheels as well.

Thanks.

An offset number without a wheel width is useless. Having +35mm offsets on a 8" wide wheel is 32mm closer (or further away if wheels are already past guard) to a guard than a +35 on a 10.5" wheel.

If you're looking for people with +35mm offset just to see if that offset clears calipers, then that's not a good idea either. Caliper clearance depends on the style and face of the wheel.

Just felt I should put that information out there.

yeah but what adam means is that a 18 x 9 +35 wheel will still have differing caliper clearance between different makes / models even if they are all the same size and offset

I still don't understand why you posted up wanting to see other peoples wheels which have a +35 offset. Fair enough those who post tell you their widths, but how do we know you want a 8.5" (or there abouts) wide wheel with the +35 offset to see how it sits, or a 11.5" wide with the +35? Not trying to start shit by the way, just saying... :P

Anyway, if this helps, here's 'ford' car. He's running 17x9 +30 all round with 235/45 tyre on the fronts and 255/40 rears. Standard guards all round apparently.

And here's abu's car. He's running 18 x 8.5 + 28 up front and 18 x 9.5 + 30 out back. Rolled rear guards only. Not too sure on sizes of his tyres. I'm sure he'll see this thread and add it if needed.

i know... but meisters still look HOT!

it's only a matter of time before i decide that i need to flare the guards and will need new rims anyway :)

DAMN YOU COSMETIC AND STYLING MODS!!!!!!!!!!!!111!!!!ONE!!!

Thanks for the replies. You're right about the wording of the first post, it doesn't make a lot of sense to just ask about the offset - but you've figured it out anyway. :)

My new wheels arrive today and I need to go get tyres. I'm getting 9.5" +35s on the rear and I'm worried that 255s will scrubs badly. The ride height is only a touch lower than standard. Am I going to get rubbing from 255s with that size/offset?

Adam, the WORK S1 wheels are 18x8.5 +28 fronts and 18x9.5 +33 rears... and i think u mean these 33GTR wheels(17x9 +30 all round)

Cheers

Ford

Ah I must've read one of your other posts wrong. I can't edit previous post. :ninja:

Hrmm maybe you need to get subie's current wheel's tyre sizes. The wheels you've both got are roughly the same fitment and with subie's current tyres, there's room for a larger tyre underneath with a guard roll.

What are your tyre sizes subie? The ones on the S1's.

u would be ok on 255 tyres if it only a touch lower than standard, i used to have 255 on my rear wheels which 18x9.5 +35 offset... see pic below (but i had my rear guards rolled)

Fitted them tonight and no dice, I'm afraid. Got them on no worries, but they're scrubbing at the back. No big deal, I'll get the guards rolled tomorrow and she'll be apples. Looks pretty damn good, I reckon. Although could do with a slight slight drop (10mm more maybe?). Not sure yet. Pics up soon.

    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
    • I haven’t pulled the injectors to watch them spray yet but they are clicking from the cas and all of the spark plugs are wet with fuel. I’ve thought the cylinders were being flooded from the beginning and was hoping fuel pressure would fix it. Tonight I am going to pull the rail and watch the injectors spray. Don’t know how to test/diagnose if the plugs are firing in correct sequence but that should be a timing thing and as far as timing goes my car still has the half moon for the cas can only install it 1 way. And my mechanical timing is 100% correct I posted photos above. Confirmed with the balancer on and off.
    • I checked spark on all cylinders and they all visually have spark with the plug pulled and grounded, but plug 1 is the only one that fouled. This was a running swap that blew up and was rebuilt by a machine shop, put a new wiring specialties harness and did all gaskets, studs, and bolts while it was out.  compression is 135-150 across all cylinders. Aside from that from my understanding with the z32 ecu and maf the car should start regardless. The wiring for TPS and the dual 02 sensor/ dual knock sensor stuff shouldn’t actually stop the car from starting or even running well, (just slightly rich)  they just give fault codes. Car supposedly is supposed to start as long as you have z32 afm and ecu with the nistune base map and that’s info coming from a well known and trusted tuner who does a lot with SR/RB (Rsenthalpy). After more trouble shooting today where I’m at right now is that the cas is sending signal to the injectors they click while spinning the rotor, Fuel pressure is now set at 43psi, all cylinders have good compression and all of the plugs looked great (just wet with fuel) except for cylinder 1 which was very black (cylinder 1 has 150psi compression). all of the coils generate spark if pulled out and grounded out on the head. On the fuel pump car just pops into the exhaust. On starting fluid car will fire off. Hard to tell if all cylinders are firing off but definitley a couple. sounds like all of them but it’s only for 3-5 seconds hard to tell.
    • Final update!!! Got the front bar fitted and sprayed and all sorted now. My cutouts worked great and the indicators aren’t just falling off. 😂
    • Is this a brand new LSD? if so, have you followed any break/bed in procedure for it? Usually involves heaps of figure 8 patterns, a fluid flush.
