I've installed a pair at the back(closer to the diff) - see the pic

Took it for a spin and noticed the take off was much smoother - grips up and goes... Do i need to install the second pair at the front of the sub frame?

Remember seeing whiteline installation guide with different settings, but cant seem to find it anywhere, which way do i set it up for 'drift'?

Cheers.

If you had bought the Whiteline Rear Subframe Alignment Kit you would have received the instructions, plus 6 bushes (instead of only 4 like you have now).

Yep, it was a bit testy, but I had just replied to 4 x PM's that day asking the same question. Because guys bought a cheap product without instructions, couldn't be bothered going back to the people that they bought it from, asking for their instructions and don't use the search function which would have given them the answer instantly.

Ive gotta drag this thread up again.

I just bought some whiteline pinapples off sydneykid, and reading the instructions, it appears that two of the small pinapples should have a "cut" in them. You can see in the diagram above that for the traction set up, im supposed to use the small 'cut' pinapples. The problem is that none of the pinapples i received have cuts in them. Ive got 4 small and 2 large and none with cuts in them. Im not sure what to do. Do i cut two of the small ones?

Any info on installation would be appreciated.

Shaun.

Hi Shaun, are you sure that they don't have any cuts in them? We received 4 sets that same day and I picked one out at random and the 2 small bushes both have cuts. They were impossible to see, but a quick twist and I could find them.

Cheers

Gary

Yeah, i looked at them forever trying to find the cuts but they didnt have any. I rang Red Ranger and they just told me to cut them with a blade, as they probably didnt go thru the cutting stage. No biggy; they were pretty easy to install. I used the max traction setting, so it'll be interesting to see how they go.

Thanks Gary,

Shaun.

hi

ive just brought some pineapple pictured below and none of the small ones are cut

i what to fit them in the drift positions

can this be done with outcuts ?

should i cut them ? they are metal

does this means i have to drop the whole rear subframe to fit them ?

post-35397-1224151134_thumb.jpg

more on my above question

have been emailing drift shop who i brought the bushes from

their instructions only show one way to install the bushes

i asked them can you sent them in drift, drag and all round performance positions and they said this:

HI Michael,

The best and correct way to fit the subframe bushes that we have supplied

is to install all 8 bushes.

All of the DA drivers that we have sold the bushes to say that the settins

for the plastic bushes do not do anything and that the best performance is

when the subframe is locked into position as shown in the instructions.

Our testing and driver feedback shows that all 8 installed is the correct

way.

Yours Sincerely

which means these bushes are only to be installed in one way (all round performance position) ???

what do poeple think about this ???

should i go for some whiteline bushes and ditch these ???

have attached their instructions

driftshop___subframe_bushes_install.doc

yeah man, install all 8 of them, big ones on top and small ones down the bottom,

it will be awsome, gont worry about the grip or all round settings,

it stops axle tramp thats all that matters, iin a way,

solid alloy ones nearly always go in with big on top and small on bottom for all 8,

JV

Our testing shows that the Urethane Whiteline / generic pineapples do hardly anything in comparison to the alloy subframe bushes. The Urethane bushes act as a rubber spacer between the subframe and the factory bushes. This does stop some axel tramp, but does not fix or remedy shagged subframe bushes.

The alloy subframe bushes compress and mould the factory subframe bushes back to centre for more stability and alignment.

I have yet to notice any gains in angling the subframe over installing all 8 pcs of the alloy bush sets.

The D-Project bushes have the notch cut out on the top so that you DO NOT need to drop the whole subframe down to install.

Instructions are provided to all customers on request.

Pavel, it is recommended that you install all 8 pcs as provided. We do not recommend angling the subframe by removing some of the alloy pieces.

Can you use the pineapples in conjunction with the alloy bushes to angle the cradle? I already have the cradle angles and the improvement in traction is perhaps the main reason why my 260rwks R32 hooks up so well. I have your alloy bushes to go in, but i dont want to move the cradle back to the std orientation...so much so i was going to sell the alloy bushes and just buy Nismo replacement cradle bushes and use the pineapples to align the cradle at the desired angle

Hi Roy,

You are free to install the product in any way that you wish. From a safety point of view, ensure that each subframe nut has at least 2-3 threads showing and is tighted to the correct torque spec.

We firmly recommend that all 8pcs are installed as instructed.

    • Here's the link: https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/nissan-japan/stagea/wgnc34/6642/misc/G49?frame_no=WGNC34-137122 What you think about it? The same product i found on nengun: https://www.nengun.com/oem/parts/40567/MiPwn5qAMfCfmpxHNDnwn5q9MDAx8J-QiW9sZC1qcC0xMTAtRzQ5LS0wMDE/Floor+Carpet+%2F+Mat+2/0688339eba149c19 Bot i have spoken to 😅 ensured me, that mats are 100% original, oem product. I have my doubts. I also heard what you mentioned, that nengun often offers items that are actual not available... On the other hand mats i found on japanese yahoo or ebay are in poor condition and still quite expensive so i'd rather wait for some better offers. My location - Poland. We literaly don't have ANY market for used Stagea parts so need to search outside Europe.
    • You can’t see much on the other side as the lcd is there I don’t think it’s the same as the m33 beside it as the markings on top is not the same was hoping someone had a good quality photo or if they just happened to have the unit in hand, quickly take the cover off and take a photo to clearly show the marking on top to identify the diode   the unit is currently with an electronics repair shop so I can’t take another photo at the moment hopefully they are smart enough to know if it’s a zener diode or not
    • I'd be very surprised if you can buy new OEM mats. But if you can, I want some too!  Do you have links to the variations you found? Also, where are you located? I found that Nengun is happy to list items to purchase but when you do buy them you'll get an email that it's actually discontinued. As far as I know the variations in floor mats are different colour schemes as well as automatic and manual having a slightly different shape. The automatic ones fit into a manual car without issues, but I think you'd have trouble fitting the other way around. I have photos that show the shape difference if you care. FWIW I bought sets of used floor mats in decent condition at yahoo auctions.
    • Hi 🙋‍♂️. Just bought my Unicorn but the interior need some minor work so it would match my expectations ;). I noticed it is hard to get used oem floor mats in good condition so i started to dig if there's any chance to buy set of new ones. I found two websites - nengun and amayama and it looks like one can still buy factory new floor mats in Japan, but thers a small issue. Some mats (i assume genuine, oem ones) are marked as G4900 and these are "discontinued". The ones you can buy are marked as G4911 but i have no idea if these are also oem, made by other producer or some lower quality replacements that looks entirely different. Can anyone help? 😃  P.s. there is also some strange indication - 0V005, 0V015 and 0V505. Any idea what does it mean? Would appreciate any help with this 🙏
