Just wondering if there have been or will be any cruises and such in Country vic? I live some 120km from Melb CBD and have only seen 2 other Skylines within a 50km radius, and one guy wrote his off a few weeks ago. I ask because I don't get up to Melbourne that often and don't know it at all, only just the Morabbin area a tiny bit (Been to AVO Turbo World once or twice).

I would be willing to travel to Melb now and then if people in my situation (new to imports and cars, etc and Melb driving) would be welcomed?

Cheers.

cobo_11: you have an Autech version GTS4? What kind of differences are there between mine (normal GTS4) and your Autech version?

I MUST know :(

BTW: I'm from Geelong - many melbourners reckon thats in the country too :)

I live in the gippsland area...

Does anyone know if any cruises or whatever will be happening on the 5th (Friday) of Sept? I will be coming up for a family friends 60th for saturday, and would like to try and participate in a cruise on Friday if something is happening?

I will be in the Knox area on Friday.

cobo_11: some of us 32 boys will be meeting in central melb on saturday, probably albert park 4pm for a few pics and stuff. Your more than welcome to join us :D

In a month to 6 weeks or so I'll be making another blast up to Bairnsdale one night. Actually its a place 20KM's out of Bairnsdale called Paynesvile or something. I have a friend who moved up there...

It's kinda funny actually. The only 'performance' car I saw the whole time I was there last was like a VR SS, and an older gentleman seemed genuinly scared when I dropped a BOV on him as I went past. The Paynesvile pub would be an interesting place to park a group of Skyline's out the front of... but thats another story all together.

It's a good run down the South Eastern and all the way out to Sale. Speed Limit is 110 the whole way but it seems as though everyone sits on 120 or so. At Night it's a really awesome drive.

I'm betting No-one else would really be up for this though :)

    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
