sorry, I bought it for $1200.00

won't sell and less then $1050, never used since purchase. If I don't get what I want, then why lose all the money? I will just use it myself or a mate has made offers for his 180sx

Is the turbo water and oil cooled, as i could only spot the oil inlet and outlet holes.

If it is only oil cooled, the turbo was originally manufactured for use in truck engines and would slowly disentagrate on a car engine, as it will be over-spinning and getting extremely hot.

I was gona say the same thing, thats y i offerd so little

How do you know it flows 500hp if you don't have any specs? The AR is 0.5, which is pretty small. My turbo is 0.6 and reportedly good for only 450hp (T04).

Alright guys. Looks like no one wants to pay as much as I am asking for this turbo. I am suffering the consequenes for buying something I knew nothing about.

I am not thinking about upgrading the turbo no this car till next year atleast (paying it off first).

make some offers but I would like to see them on the other side of $600. if out of state you pay the shipping

thanx guys

Not necassarily true, some of the older HKS/Apexi/ Garret turbos do not use water cooled bearings, and all of the Trust range do without it. Admittedly water cooled ball bearing turbos are typically better, but then again a GT3 Porsche is better then my car, but my car still gets the job done.

I think of more importance is if its a plain bush turbo that it has 360 degree thrust bearings and is in good condition.

I think you should spend the $50-80 and pay someone like Precision Turbochargers/GCG/Allied Signal to have a look at the turbo and give you some info to assist ppl when enquiring.

Alrighty guys, I am doing a brake upgrade soon as I have discovered I need new discs and want the extra money.

asking price now is HALF of what I paid, so I have learnt my lesson in not to buy stuff you aren't using straight away

asking price is now $600.00

$600 is pretty bloody cheap. Have you considered trying Ebay? I reckon you'd get over $600 for it easy. There's a limited amount of people here who would need a turbo like that for their Skyline, but there's probably a lot more people on Ebay looking for one for their VR4 :P

    • Yes, I know🙄 but the sequential is not in my budget... don't want to reduce power neither, so looks like I'm stuck in the rabbit hole🤣

    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
