just my opinion, but I reckon the 32GTR (as cheap as it is now) will go up in value over the years due to its iconic status and being the only true Godzilla not to mention that its the only car to ever be banned from the Bathurst because it was too good......obviously this will only apply to immaculate ones in original condition.

32 GTR's are already becoming hard to find in parts of Japan and the price is slowly creeping up, as it's becoming a 'collectors' item, plus the popularity of GTR's (with the release of the 35 GTR) has caused 34 GTR's to drop in price and 32 GTR's to go up in price.

my number one pick, would obviosly be the 33..they are so easy to f**k up in the body mods department, but when done correctly,

they look tuff as a nuns cherry.

second by the 34 gtt, tuff looking from factory, and easy to modify.

all skylines tickle my fancy though (cept v35) , no one can say no to a tastefully modified skyline.

my $0.02c

I didn't buy a R33 because of the looks..bought it because of the Engine and driveline....excellent cars for the money. It didn't have too much trouble keepin up with the GTR's in the hills either. I also bought a 33 because i like the underdog. 90% of R33's out there look gayer than two blokes rooting...I like it when i get comments like....'i dont like 33's but yours is phat' hehe. Having said that i like the look of an R33 GTR, Being the widest of the 3. I will get one very soon.

R32 GTR = WIN

32 GTR or GTST or GTS4 FTW!!!!! i just love the look of the standard body, no kit needed. When i tell people my car was built in 1989, they're like WTF!!!!

The R32 GTR. Just the presence it has on the road, track, drag strip. When you see one rock up, you just know its going to do something amazing. But I think any Skyline does that. They just have that reputation of being animals. That's why I got one.

i've driven r32,r33,r34 and i gotta say ike the R33/R34 best....both actually haha!

That said they all feel very different in handling/chassis/power delivery

compared with other sports coupes, nissan skylines just feel like they know their stuff!

I agree with people in saying that some don't know how to modify their cars properly lol!

EDIT: Gtr's are in a totally different league though

Definetly R32 GTR followed closly by the R34 GTR. Nothing wrong with R33's but to many people just have no idea how to modify them tastefully. Here's hoping the original zilla's go up in price as I plan on keeping mine for quite some time!

Ryan

yeah both Ryans make very good point here.

Although my favourite is the 32GTR, occasionally you see a nice clean 33 like Ryanrb25's (I think I told you that on the boards a long time ago Ryan).

There are obviously alot more 33's on the road than the other 2 and too often they are ruined by wrong kits so it's a pleasant surprise every now and then to see a tuff one like Ryan's.............IMO they stand out alot more than ones that have been turned into a Concorde airplanes.

    • G30-770. So long as you're talking engine horsepower, and not some bullshit wheel/axle/mystery horsepower.
    • It's a lottery, no one is going to be able to predict how much HP YOUR engine is going to handle as history has a huge part to play.    As examples though. I have one rb26 on 630rwhp, running 16 years now at that level, track use, only a couple of times a year.  Another 790rwhp, about 2 years now, driven every weekend.    If i was to give you a "safe" number I would say 450rwhp on 98 and 550-600 on e85.  Seen plenty of motors pop with less though too
    • Fair play on the 120k, sorry just live in nanny Aus.  High rpm on cruise would kill me too.    On the gears, its not just first, so beside the fact I really enjoy that nice punch you get when you accel in first. 2nd is all messed up in the gearsets too. Most people I know with gearsets(even sequentials) have to drop into 1st for tarmac rally slower corners as second gear is too low in rpm, its painful. Translate to the street, I am using a 2.3 gear out of a low speed turn, gearset you got a 1.7 second. I can tell you now between my two cars which one is a LOT more fun.    On a track its a different story, once the car is moving the gearset ratios are supreme, 1st gets you going on a big rpm launch, then 2nd is no issue for the corner speed on most tracks.    Yer the price sucks  , old enough to remember these selling for $1500usd here in Aus.
    • Will mainly be steering the car as tracking it in China would reduce its value a lot and mines a near mint condition v spec 2. Just weighing out the options for the next improvement. Thanks
    • Thanks for the info. With the 2.8L stroker kit what would be the best single turbo setup for around 700-750 drivable horsepower? As I think after that it’s going to be very aggressive power delivery.
