hey guys,

just advertising my GTT as an expression of interest, tried to sell it at an unreasonable price a few months back...

now i thought i'd post it up to see how much interest it will register with you guys, feel free to post up whatever comments you have to make... (try to keep the negative ones to a minimum though please, i am trying to sell it lol)

umm... car was at AutoSalon '08 with the SAUWA stand... in line with all the R34 GTR's if you were there, across from the Tech9Tyres stand...

some history on the car;

Imported through Imports101 in mid-December and i have owned it ever since, was initially run on BP Ultimate but i have since changed to Vortex98 as i myself, as well as a few other drivers noticed that we got more km's out of the car using that fuel...

i drive it everyday and is beautiful to drive, car is very reliable and i haven't had any problems with it at all...

here are some specifications on the car;

i picked up the car on Thursday as the rear bar and rims had to be put on, parked it up and only drove it out on Friday afternoon to take it to the Convention Centre...

have just driven it home, it is my daily so i will be driving it on a daily basis but i have only driven a tiny bit since i've gotten it back...

any questions as i mentioned before please feel free to ask, any comments to make also feel free to do so...

i am waiting on photos and will upload asap...

i am hardly ever on the internet anymore and won't really reply to sms's so if you're REALLY serious about any enquiries please contact me on 0433 560 364

thank you very much and i hope to hear your varied comments whenever...

sorry, i have not had it dynoed... nor do i know how much power it's putting out...

fairly stock standard in regards to mechanical modifications, trying to keep it as tidy as possible before i find more $$$ to give it some more power, in saying that this is a perfect base car for anyone with plans for a GTT

appreciate the kind comments, thanks mate,

Andrew

Yeah nice car.

I don't know if many R34's are selling privately as I have had my 2000 GT-T sedan advertised at 16k and have had no serious interest.

Mine is stock and auto so I expect that your manual coupe will get more interest but I assume the problem is that guys can't trade or get finance with a private sale.

Checking through the classifieds most dealers prices are into the 20's for stock GT-T sedans but private sales in this range seem to linger for a looooong time.

As usual there are plenty of guys wanting these cars but few with cash.

Good luck anyway.

okay, car no longer has the vented bonnet but now has a standard bonnet in black, a HKS SSQV and a decat pipe so blows some awesome kid boy racer flames that light up the night sky...

come check out the car, i am open to trade offers and interstate offers, willing to ship at buyers expense, don't forget... price is negotiable, cheers

Andrew

That looks really nice man,

In regards to the pricing and interests, the problem is that at the moment any car that uses more than 10L/100km fuel comsumption is much more difficult to sell, and when car prices start to fall the imports are the hardest hit.

I've been looking to get a GT-T recently, the prices on these cars have fallen quite abit over the past 12 months. The problem you may have in attracting interest is that while most of your mods a quite neat, such as LED lights, tinted headlights and carbon fibre mirrors, they're cool bits and pieces but a buyer like me wouldn't really pay any extra money for them.

If I want to get a stock GT-T as a base, I could easily find one well under $20k at the moment. So you'll have to look for someone who really appreciate the looks of your car and willing to pay a bit extra for it.

That's my opinion, I really do think you have a beautiful ride there, good luck with your sale and hopefully you'll find the right buyer soon.

yeah much appreciated mate, i do think the same thing sometimes...

i know you can get a stockish R34 GT-T for around 20k (manual 2 door turbo ONLY if you look hard enough)

and even then, a custom pearl respray will easily cost 4.5k, rims will be 2.5k and anything extra will be on top, you've just spent 27k for a GTT with a respray with no mods and nice wheels, i think a kit and all the other little bits and pieces do add up but we all know in the modifying scene you never get back what you pay for...

it's a shame but it's part of the game ey? i don't mind keeping it for a little longer but there's not way the price is going to budge too much lol can't do it

good luck with finding your R34... they're beautiful cars mate you won't regret it

oh yeah, bump bump

oh yeah, bump bump :P

28K is a lil steep for a standard gtt with a kit ,paint and guages, you are better off askin 24 max other wise ull wait all year and no one will buy it then it wont even be worth 24, i know i did it with my three cars :P

i don't mind if i don't sell, i know these cars are a bit cheaper in the Eastern States as these cars are selling [stock] at the dealers for 26k so i think 28k is reasonable here in Perth, and it's not just stock with a kit, paint and gauges... thanks for the comments though cheers

Andrew :D

quick bump

    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
    • BTW I measured the jack I have, it is 70mm at the saddle but you only have about 700 until it returns to 150mm high at the cylinder so it is good but no magic bullet.
