Hey guys, I'm soon changing my dumps in my GTR and thought it would also be a good time to replace the O2 sensors. Nissan seem to want ridiculous prices for them (in the range of $250) so I went to my local parts store today where I'm friendly with the owners. They said they can get them in for me at $180 a pop so long as there are 10 or more bought. Just thought I'd see if anyone on here is interested in these at a reduced price? I have yet to confirm 100% if these indeed are correct but according to all the information he got from the rep on the phone, these sensors are for the RB26DETTs :)

Anyone keen or should I just forget it and spend crazy money on them?

While I've semi recently replaced my O2 sensors, I cant recall them being too much more than $200. Get the price u can, but get the non-nissan o2 sensors... i dont have a part number but its on this forum under the part number thread (i think). $180 isnt too bad (bear in mind if they need 10 then thats just 5 people assuming you change both sensors)

Hey, I'm all up for getting these even cheaper Pete, if anyone can help me source these for a better price I'd be more than willing to go with them! Any contacts you have Pete? Maybe Luke (ENR34) can hook us up?

Ben, yeah I know we'd only need 5 people to get the deal, however, now this is reliant on my shit memory, last time I asked Nissan for a price I beleive it was close to $250 ea for a sensor.

Its the sort of thing that if I didnt have a gearbox to buy and a certain water pump to pay for and other assorted repairs *sigh* I'd probably jump at this... $360 is very cheap for 2 o2 sensors. Folks if you're not sure if your o2 sensor(s) are working, get the car dynoed and check the readings. dead o2 sensors = shitty fuel economy!

Luke Luke Luke Luke Luke you obviously don't remember our conversation of maybe a month ago

remember i was going to run a group buy of O2 sensors

remember i told your R33 GTR is the same as R32 GTR

remember i told you i can get them way cheaper than repco, auto barn, supercrap auto

REMEMBER

any ways last time i checked i can get as per NTK's website the part number OTD2F-P1P

Recommended Sensor Connector No.-18 No. of Wires-3 Wire Length-455 With Connector-OTD2F-P1P

as per 3 months ago i was able to get them @ $260 the PAIR but no one wanted to commit now you all want them

that is the titania sensor if your serious i will ring up and get quotes

BTW ive been missing off the boards because im not getting email replies

na pete there the same there is only one part number for the engine RB26dett

and neg on the Z32 Luke they do require a bit of harness adjustment but that's easy enough for Shaun

i will still ask about nismo stuff but it isnt in there list of brand names here is list

Availability: New and changeover/reconditioned units are available. Brands include Bosch, Nippon Denso, JECS & AC Delco

Yeah Pete, the sensors are the same...

Steve yeah I know the Z32's can be fit easily, only problem is that my pods only match up to the standard sized AFM's (which the nismo's are too) The Z32's are 10-20mm wider hence why I want to stay with the nismos so I don't have to change my pods too

Oh, by the way, that middle muffler of mine, reckon we can organise for it to be taken out this week?

    • I found a supplier for an arm in NZ. https://thrashgaragenz.com/products/nissan-skyline-v35-z33-350z-front-lower-straight-arm-rh-side?srsltid=AfmBOopMdfCFDc_8yVZZ9kq5nIngPHRTBzUU8v4SAptJaRO52Wjs0bC6 I looked closely at the photo of that one and the Z1 arm, and it's the same bloody arm. Scratches all match in the photo 😂 How hard is it to change that joint? Also they seem to be listing two options https://thrashgaragenz.com/products/nissan-skyline-v35-z33-350z-front-lower-straight-arm-balljoint-rh-side?_pos=1&_sid=229acde44&_ss=r And now I have no idea what size I'd need yay
    • Ill review it again, from memory when I first saw some of Trailer Park Boys I wasn't a huge fan. I ended up at Letter Kenny after watching Shoresy, which is a bit ass backward, ha ha
    • "lol dunno" either But like you, I can't see any reason they would need to be different LHD to RHD
    • I agree with you WRT the hard top. MX5's may be one of the better looking soft tops but I cannot think of ANY car, EVER that looks better with a soft top vs a hard top (or a designed roof). At all, ever. I also feel this way about the C5 Vette, the Z06 looks horrible compared to it's original form, it has an exaggerated version of the differences you're talking about.
    • Hey crew, Failed my WOF cause of a lower control arm, and I've decided to hit both arms, and also the compression rods at the same time(seems they're gonna be the most likely upcoming failure points from some discussions with the lads over on the G35 reddit). I've looking at these form Z1:  https://www.z1motorsports.com/front-suspension/hayaku-automotive/hayaku-g35-front-compression-rod-p-40716.html https://www.z1motorsports.com/front-suspension/hayaku-automotive/hayaku-g35-front-lower-control-arm-p-40674.html I asked Z1 if they'd work as it's the same platform, just RHD vs LHD. I basically got told "Lol dunno". Specifically they aren't aware of any difference but can't guarantee fitment as they haven't done it on a 350GT. So guess I'm asking is if there is any issues with using 2005 G35 coupe suspension parts on a 2005 350GT coupe? Orginally I thought it could be something in the way of the arms that each control arm is designed to be positioned around, but that'd be an engineering nightmare for Nissan needing two different shaped control arms 😅
