I honestly can't work out why this isn't generating more interest, its got some very good quality gear on it, its not super-modified and hasn't had a hard life as you would expect most modified ones to have had, its very clean, the whole driveline has just been serviced in every way, and its not riced up like alot of GTRs.

Its not through a lack of conditioon that its not selling, I have only had one person actually view it, and he offered me less than $25k :D timewaster, so I can only wonder why people don't seem to be all that keen on GTRs right now.

I'd like this gone by the end of the month as I need the garage space for other things and am no longer even using this car, its done about 20klms in the last 3 weeks, so am open to all reasonable offers, not stupid ones like the one mentioned above!

Hey mate i know what your saying im stuck in the same boat on a r32 gtr. It just seems people want sexy cars for nothing. Free bump for a sexual car

yeah this is a beautiful car, exactly what ill look for in proberlly 3 years. once i sell mine and get off my p's anf get on pilot wage, love the good use of carbon (free bump)

As nice as the car is, i think its in the price. IM sure know one doubts how clean or nice this car is. But the problem is, people dont want to spend 30k on a 10-12yr old car with running costs and fixing costs at 5k+ (eg if engine blown). When i had my r33 gtr, 2 years ago i sold it for 25k. I knew of mates who were struggling to sell theres at the same price.

I hope you do sell the car, but honestly, your going to have to cut your losses some were if you want to sell it quickly.

Have to agree on that. You can PM Tommo who just sold his 97 GTR with bigger turbos and all for less than $29,000 if i'm not wrong and trust me, his car is in a very good condition too. Mods nowadays doesn't keep their value.

Nice car anyway. Not so riced up, with nice CF goodies. Good luck!

Didn't you own the old OYEAH from Rigoli's? GTST, not a GTR? However, I hear what you are saying, and the price is coming down slowly, but there are plenty of 33's for more $$$$ than mine, they don't seem to be selling either, but I'm by no means asking stupid money in my opinion. My car has just had a major service and has never seen more than 1 bar on an essentially stock setup, so I can't see this engine having any issues as its never really been pushed. I paid more than I'm asking 11 months ago, and I felt it was worth that money then, as the few sub $30k ones I looked at were rubbish, thrashed and in pretty average condition, the few others I looked at around what I paid were also rubbish! I guess it comes down to what someone wants, most GTRs have dirty, messy and unkept engine bays, ricey little add ons to the exterior, and over gadgetised interiors, all of those things I didn't want and I'm hoping there are some people out there that want the same. Oh well, no rush, the price will continue to fall slowly.....if I can ditch the Volks, that will help for sure, but I'd have thought some people interested might have looked at the price and compared it to the $26-28k-ish GTR's and added the $5500 for the Volks and have thought it to be a great price with some top notch wheels.

Its not as if I haven't said negotiable, or throw me some reasonable offers, $25k isn't resonable in my eyes, as not many are advertised for that, let alone will sell for that.

I'm hoping there is more appeal in a less modified one mechanically and more tastefully done in other areas, which leaves a blank canvas for some wanting to go a little nuts but knowing they have bought an unmolestered version or someone who just wants a tidy, fun car which is what I wanted.

Thanks for the input, and we'll see what happens, I'll just plod along, I'll just start pulling stuff off soon and selling it off and reducing by more til it sells.

As I said though, open to reasonable offers!!!!

For this Car to still be available is CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!! As soon as I sell my XR6Turbo I will be buying this and by then if the market is going the same way, I might just grab it for $25K:) Nah, this is a beast and Im waiting for the day someone hits you over the head and you wake up wanting a XR6T sedan:)

Good Luck selling, no Im really lying here, I hope it doesnt sell until I buy It:) Sorry, just being honest!!

JG

Unfortunately I experienced the same thing with my previous GTR. Ended up selling it for $25,000. It's a matter of waiting for the right person who will appreciate the car.

Good luck with the sale.

Its all good, I don't believe the price is too high, so many people are commenting on the price being really good, but if reducing it a little each week will help see it sold, then thats what I gotsta do as I do want it gone, I need more space and have other cars to play with now.....I just think the market for $30k+ cars appealing to younger people is a bit dry at the moment, especially with new p-plate laws and the economy the way it is.

did this car belong to a guy called jamie ??

yep

yer ur right on there economy and the new p-plate restrictions along with coppers really cracking down doesnt really help the whole selling situation.

The market at the moment just sucks ass. Just leave the price as it is would be my opinion and wait for the right person.. Its dropped quite enough already!

yep

haha i thought so the carbon wing gave it away

id own this clean exsample of a gt-r in a heart beat

ur right about the market my car has been for sale since dec last year lol im not in a rush to sell but yea its just a matter of time b4 someone will come with the $$

but hey if i sell mine il deff be contacting you

good luck with the sale

QIKGTR, i Sold that one for 28k in 04 :), how lucky i was and how times have changed. I had the GTR in late 06. But if you have patience, the right buyer will come along. Some one who is fussy like us will pay the dollar you ask for, as you have mentioned, finding a clean good GTR is getting harder by the day. But to sell it quickly, some one may low ball you. If you can bargain them abit and bring the price up you could have a definate buyer. Im trying to sell a 03 Integra to buy another performance car. Im struggling to sell it, and its been for sale for the past 2/ 3 months. So i know how your feeling and im getting desperate to sell it because it just doesnt get driven. SOrry to go off topic, Good luck with the sale

I hear ya, seems the same in all circles within regards to selling cars lately, but as you said, wait and the right person will come along, but unfortunately it gets to a point where you no longer have the patience, space or care to wait because once I decide I want to sell a car, I want it gone, it'll barely get driven now, and I don't want it just sitting in my garage, hopefully I can just hold out, but we'll see what happens, I have 2 other cars to play with now......I remember being down in Sydney for an Autosalon back when OYEAH was a big HP R33, Rigoli's were down from thier QLD workshop and took us around the Sydney hotspots for rumbles, that thing was mental back then!!!

Anyway, back on topic.......nice GTR for sale :)

Monday morning price drop.......$29500 negotiable and open to offers?!?!??!?!

hey mate,

great looking example !!!.......just a quick question ...how is the button clutch in day to day driving conditions ?

Its not too bad, it takes a few weeks to get used to it, but otherwise its all good, avoiding big, steep hills if you're stuck in stop start traffic is a good idea....but I don't drive it daily all the time, only every now and then, and not at all at the moment!

    • Nah, OEM washer bottle and brake fluid reservoirs are fine I don't know what it is with the plastic that Mazda used, some plastics, like the washer bottle and brake fluid res are fine, and still look new after 20 years use, where as the coolant expansion tank, and PS reservoir, that I replaced with new OEM items when I first got the car, turned yellow and started getting brittle a few years later If the dirty yellow stained plastics didn't trigger me there wouldn't be an issue, but they did, much like the battery bracket....... Meh As for going back to work full time to support car stuff, nope, why, because I own a Mazda NC MX5, not a Nissan R series Skyline 🤣
    • I've never heard of CJ-motor, so can't advise you on them. I'd just go straight to GCG for a GCG highflow though. Seems no point to use a middleman. I'm somewhat surprised that the price on the CJ site is lower than the GCG retail price. Even though CJ would get a discount of some sort, you would hardly expect them to give up so much margin. Maybe the price is out of date? Having said that "I'd go to GCG"...when I did my highflow, I went to Hypergear. I did this https://hypergearturbos.com/product/rb25dethighflow/#tab-dyno-results with the R34 OP6 450HP profile. With the BB centre (extra $400) and intially with the standard boost actuator, but I eventually got him to send me the high pressure one when I got to the point of being able to actually use it. Ends up costing the same sort of money as the GCG highflow, but this is, of course, the turbo that I KNOW has a shorter length core and so moves the comp cover rearwards. The GCG apparently doesn't do that. My mechanic also swears by the GCG highflow, given that we have another turbo rebuilder who does something essentialy the same as theirs, using Garrett wheels. He says it stands up at really low revs and makes good power. I haven't pushed my HG highflow past ~240-250rwkW yet (should have a little more in it, but unclear how much) and it does have a fairly gentle boost ramp. OK, it's much better now that I have gotten my boost controller tuned up on it.  A lot of my earlier unhappiness was because I couldn't keep the wastegate flap as closed as it needed to be (including some mechanical issues). I'd still prefer it to boost up nearly as quickly as the stocker, and it certainly a bit slower than that. So maybe the GCG one is worth the first look (for you).
    • Ok thanks 🙂 I will higly consider this. Any "known" company for a good reviews and experience to send that off? Is that CJ-motor good one? Or go straight to GCG site? I need to use VPN to even find some of those "shops" let alone access them 🙂
    • You can literally put in as much WMI as it takes to quench the combustion totally (and then back it off a little, obviously), and it will keep making more and more power. The power comes from the cooling effect of the water (and the meth) and the extra fuel (the meth, which also has massive octane). It is effectively exactly like running E85. One might be slightly better than the other, but they are damn close. But with either you can lean on the boost or the timing (or both) waaaay more than with just petrol and the results are similar. Here's the first thing I googled for an anecdotal bit of evidence. Can't access the attachment without being a gold member, but it is there for the getting if able to, or searched up elsewise perhaps. https://www.hpacademy.com/forum/general-tuning-discussion/show/wmi-vs-e85/
