One Clear Cut How-to

i have been browsing this forum a bit, looking in the threads and i am finding that there isnt one clean cut how-to for the RB30 (rb25det head). i am not complaining, its just that each page of the 300+ page thread, something else pops up.

maybe there is a link? not asking to be spoonfed but is anyone aware of a pictorial/step by step thread anywhere rather than 300+ pages of discussion?

There is never one clear cut way to build any motor, everyone has their own style/touches/opinions/preferances that they like to do when building a motor. Just need to decide what's right for you. My mechanic used the pdf file as a good guide, but also done a few other mods and left a couple out.

haha no i dont mean an engine building guide, i dont need that, i am just talking about lining the water jackets up and running the oil line for VVT, things like that. thats all.

what water jackets need to be lined up??? The vct oil line is in the guide!

Any decent engine workshop will be able to easily perform the vct mod.

Nothing really needs to be spelt out; pull the bits apart and have a good look. Combine what you see with the tid bits you read and off you go.
