Hi all,

Some of you may remember me from this forum. I owned a white stagea s2 for 2 years and sold it earlier this year.

It was replaced with a Pulsar and we quickly discovered we really needed a large car, kinda missed the boot space of the stagea in a big way, not to mention the comfort, handling, performance, you name it.

Anyway, so we've now bought a silver 2003 M35 Stagea - 2.5L V6 Turbo.

Its currently in Japan (importing through a family friend) and so I'm sure many of you can relate to the painful waiting game while we put up with a borrowed old falcodore wagon in the meantime. Actually I am grateful to be able to borrow the car but all the same I'll be VERY happy to see my stagea when it eventually arrives!!

Pics below for those interested:

Will post an update when the car arrives. I have been given ~10 weeks as a rough estimate. Will see how we go. :)

Am very much looking forward to the 408Nm@3200rpm and 5sp auto!! :P

Hoping to get it converted to LPG sometime next year but will cross that bridge when I come to it. Hopefully the new Liquid LPG systems will be more available by then.

I am gradually falling in love with the M35. Was not too keen at first, but now I am older and more (or less) mature, I think I could live with one.

Use of lpg/cng interests me greatly.

Have you seen any in real life? That was the difference for me. Photos do nothing for the car, but actually seeing one up close, I just wanted one!!

zei20l - its an RS FOUR V, no leather or tv (didn't really want either of those anyway). Not sure on the stereo, its stock but i'm not sure what factory options there are.

I dont know if it has any particular options. I wanted one that was completely stock and as cheap as I could find (without any major defects) and I believe I achieved that.

The estimate is 8-10 weeks...but I'll hopefully get to "see" the car before then. I feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas morning :P

id have to agree, they look ok in pics. but in the flesh they look much better!

my wife did the same thing, thought from the pics that it looked ok. but when she spotted one on the road, she said 'wow, that looks really good'. and from a woman who doesnt like cars, thats pretty good.

anyway, congrats on the new stag mate. mines on the boat almost here so i know how youre feeling :P

    • All 3 I guess. The car came with the JASI Aero 4 door Type R Full Kit unpainted so this was one thing at the top of my list to complete then I noticed there were body panels parts for this kit so i picked them up along with some black mesh to fill in the front bumper and front side air vents. car is at a paint and body shop atm completing this work. Next I will be addressing the internal bells and whistles, great summer project I can do with the kids.  full interior removal - ,boys car sound deadening - pads and spray ,boys stereo, sound, lighting - Big 3, GTT or bigger alternator ,kids head lining - dye black add star lighting mod ,daughter. That's it for the next 5-6 months. I have some motor maintenance  work i have to plan out. oil filter relocation, gaskets, mounts. beyond that, mind is starting to turn over if i can use a DET intake plenum, block off turbo ports & pipe in a air intake.
    • roller coaster of a ride. Alarm system was removed & main harness was repaired where possible. still no fix just random successful starts. moved on to the replacing the ignition switch and relay. well all this troubleshooting & repair has been going on, the car is at a paint and body shop being pushed around. Ive been going down there on odd days after work to get it sorted.

    • PROBLEM WAS BROKEN COOLANT SENSOR!!! Replaced with a new one and its running mint.
    • I think he was only proposing to use the wire, not the sender. Simply because it runs from the right place to the right place. Personally, I wouldn't hack up the factory wiring like that. I'd just lay in the Defi loom.
