Not sure about the supplier but I wish I had his courier. For us to transport a Front Bar to Perth from Melbourne would cost $280+. I don't want to jump to conclusions but thought it might help get a picture.

thanks for the info mate,

this is our conversation below:

:32 PM me: Hi, i will be paying you for the 400r bumper on friday

is that ok?

7:33 PM it was $230 for the bumper and $90 shipping to wa postcode 6064

what is your paypal account?

7:34 PM Bodykit: paypal will have a surcharge of 5% on top

me: ok, how about direct transfer into bank account?

Bodykit: yes. that is fine

me: ok could i please have your details

Bodykit: bsb:.063408, acc:10367577 commonwealth bank - name: Kam Kwan Leung

me: ok no worries

could i please have your contact number?

in case i need to contact you

and do you have an abn number? or a store location?/////

The highlighted bits are dodgey as...He doesn't have an ABN = Not a legit buisiness

The contact # is even worse, have you even tried ringing it? 1) no one answers 2)not even a voice on the message bank to say who it is or anything at all about Bodykit Australia.

3) why not ask who his courier is and ring them yourself for a quote on delivery and see if it comes anywhere near the $90 he quoted you.

Just buy 1 off PSI Parts, you know he's legit.

Dude dont do it

Ring Bruce from Fibrevision he has moulds for 400r and makes up 100% perfect bodykits and the price wont be much more. Buying stuff like this end in blood and tears.

Bodykit fitting and bodykit quality is a major problem over here.

PSI parts try Star trek courier you should be able to get a great competitive deal. DMD use them and postage from qld to perth was always around 50$ for me for kits

Thanks for the help guys,

I think i will go with a more familiar seller because i tried calling many times and nobody has picked up the phone.

Have you got Bruce's number from fibrevision patty? Ill be comparing prices with psi so it will be one or the other =D

hi psi parts,

could you please see if you can get a cheaper courier like star trek and get it posted to me with them?

was the $356 you quoted the bar and shipping or just the shipping?

Thanks mate =D

That quote was for a full kit. An individual bar to 6064 is $284.50

Not sure how Pattygtst managed to get a quote that low from QLD to perth, as the item would have probably gone from qld to melb and then to perth.

Keep in mind the box is 200 x 60 x 70 cm (cubic weight of 190kg). You are more than welcome to organise your own freight however we use Allied Express and do not make money from the freight.

hey guys,

I used an ebay seller called F1bodykit who is also in melbourne. $275 plus $110 shipping to Brisbane for the Trust front bar that i bought.

the guy's english was a bit lame, but overall the service was good and the product is pretty good- i fit it myself in about 30 mins. Have yet to get it painted, so im one of those bogans who drives around with a grey bar on a white car :ermm:

Hopefully tuff33 will help me out there

Cheers

Ryan

Hey Dale, I emailed you the other day but u just sold the last front bar I wanted. If Richy08 and i combined our parts in one package, could you tell us how much it would cost then for postage to the same postcode (single front bar for me only)? Maybe a lot cheaper for us or no?

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
    • Perhaps the answer is... more jacks!* *proper jacks must be used.
    • I NEVER think about using a scissor jack unless there is absolutely no other alternative. f**king things are dangerous, annoying and stupid.
