and3_3
I want to get bigger injectors on my gtst with a gtrs turbo, how badly will this affect fuel econonmy if i dont drive hard when i have these mods? I currently get around 400 k's to a tank with conservative driving and the odd squirt here and there. I have a Power FC Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/231470-upgrading-injectors/ Share on other sites
Rezlo
All depends on how it gets tuned, I have got better fuel economy out of a SR20 with a T04z running RC 1200cc injectors than it got when the car was stock, was using a well tuned D-jetro PFC. (obviously it will go down the drain when you nail it) car got 630km out of 55L when I drove it to deliver it to a customer. My RB gets about 380 to a tank but i drive it fairly hard, running 750's also with a T04z,,, Edited August 7, 2008 by Rezlo Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/231470-upgrading-injectors/#findComment-4064719 Share on other sites
BHDave
no reason why you can't have better than stock economy if it's tuned right and driven off boost. If you are driving it everywhere at WOT then your economy will obviously be bad, but it'll be a result of the way it's driven, not the injectors or tune. abu
I had my R32 GTST tuned with GTR injectors and it was pretty good on fuel when I drove it normally, pretty much the same as when it was stock I've read on the forums most of the time after a tune, generally people make more power and get improvements in fuel economy All depends on the tune Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/231470-upgrading-injectors/#findComment-4064924 Share on other sites
Guilt-Toy
your fuel economy is only as good as your tuner Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/231470-upgrading-injectors/#findComment-4064984 Share on other sites
