I was chatting to a mate who put me onto this idea, and after a bit of reading sounded plausible. if im giving away a hardcore racing secret or something, my bad, i didnt intend to, or otherwise this idea could also be totally whacky and you can all grill me as much as you like :)

anyhoo..

if i take the head of, and cut grooves, sort of like diagonal grooves into the cylinder head in an attempt to get some swirling motion around the spark plug, then effectively im gonna get a totally sweet burn. it would hopefully stop fuel sticking to the walls of the cylinder head as well. the grooves would be cut using a small triangular file, into the cylinder head. the grooves would be straight, or parrallel to the central axis of the cylinder radius, and im guessing around two or three grooves would do the job.

has anyone heard of this before, or used/uses an application like this?

We used this method with remote control cars for racing to get a better burn.

Helped with response and sorted a few Idling issues out.

Saw some good results though took a lot of trial and error. Though a head only cost $8 on one of these :D

I would not bother one bit.
