Yes that is auction grade. And yes you can get in R34 GT-T's for under 30. There is a few things involved e.g. using you car as a test vehicle so you avoid compliancing costs.

NISMOR34- yes there is no one yet with R34 compliance. We are looking at another 4-6 weeks. Craig Dean has already sent his application from Car conversions. Yes you can bring in R34s but only as a test vehicle.

lol ... cut this fella a break! there is a good possibility of an 18 year old having 70k for 1st car .... (remember on the US site with that stuck up US kid)

1.daddy could have given him the $

2.won the money from powerball

3.inherit the money from a deceased person

4.work really really really really hard for it legite business

5.sold heroin for the last 6 months

u guys remember that guy in the US who was boasting about his porsche and his lambo, mini etc .... that 18year old. That kid actually did have the money. So ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE

buddy, if u r really searching for a 1st car. I believe gtt or gtr or non turbo is all fine! All depends on wat kinda driver u r.

BTW if u dont mind me asking. where did the 70k come from. I hope the money was attain through OPTION 4 (as shown above):D

no probs mate, I know a couple of guys in the business and they are NOT prepared to run a perfectly good 34 into the wall at this stage ~ for RAWS.

My partner has pretty much just bought herself a 34 gtt [grade 4-4.5 I think] for around that figure anyways - modified :)

how many tests will they allow?

Sorry for being off-topic max.89! Although some of this stuff does affect you.

Nark / Horus, I wasnt thinking like you guys, I knew he meant Auction Grade :D LOL

sounds like he is totally full of it or just signed on here to boast that he has 70k for a first car when he doesent know what car he is even talking about!!

:bahaha:

:bahaha: :D he is totally full of it....

And he's 18yo need to spend $7k pa to insure a R34... ?

I would rather get something easier to insure, spending $2k+ pa is acceptable for imports, but not $7k a yr!!

Imagine the stuffs you can get with that extra $5k difference. In one yr you can get a FMIC+Turbo, the next yr PFC and some other crazy monster mods....

There is different tests. The side intrusion test is to see if it meets ADR standards. There only has to be one vehicle crashed per make and model. There is a guy up in Qeensland that has already done or is doing an R34 right now.

Iam bringing in my vehicle as a test car for a compliance workshop. They need it as they are up to stage 3 and they need a test car so they can get there RAWS. The only thing that will happen to my car is it will get the usual compliance that has to meet the completely stock requirments.

    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
    • Yep...so unless someone posts up the answer you will need to probe from the ECU connector to the dash plug with a multi meter in continuity mode to trace the wires.  Note the ECU has multiple - and + (and across different key settings - Battery, IGN and Start) and most likely the power is fed from the connector(s) that is normally near the left hand headlight.
    • Thanks Duncan, I am actually just trying to get the Rb turning and running with the RB25DET S2 original loom itself  I am just trying to get it going outside the body and not thinking about the S15 or trying to match anything to the S15 loom at all I am only trying to see if anyone has done this and what pin they found to be the ignition trigger and ECU+/- on the dash connector, that's about it. Thanks
    • Hi Guys, Does anyone know any aftermarket part numbers for a starter motor to suit the VQ25DET? I can find lots of alternative part number for the VQ35DE, which I assume would fit, but there is a lot of conflicting information out there. Thanks..
    • I don't understand how this hasn't boiled down to - Upgrade the turbo when you have everything required. ECU, injectors, fuel pump, turbo, etc. Do it all at once.  If you don't have everything required, just enjoy the car as it is and keep saving up your pennies.
