I did promise a while back that I'd be getting a 34 GT-R, and I'm still pinching myself that I've actually bought this one.

2001 R34 V Spec II N1 with 24,000km on the clock.

For the V-Spec N1, it was a well-publicised fact that only 45 were built, and that the vast majority of those went straight to the track rather than being street registered. My GT-R guru mate reckons that the number of street registered examples left is probably somewhere around 15.

Here's where it gets interesting, Nissan also built an N1 version of the V-Spec II, but it was on special order from selected dealers only, and they were built in very small runs of 5 at a time. His educated guess was that there were only 20 built, and of those, race cars outnumbered street cars by 2 or 3 to 1.

Believe it or not, of these, there are actually 2 V Spec II N1s already in Australia! Both of them are fairly heavily modified and being used for Targa Tas and similar events. In fact, one of them won Targa Tas a few years back.

And now, there is a third in Oz  It hopefully arrive somewhere around Christmas time, just in time for me to enjoy it through summer with no air con lol

I seriously can't believe the lack of info on the net about N1s - I'm gonna start a register so people can keep track of them all, as well as provide more info on them.

Anyway, a couple of teaser pics for you all to have a look at :D Can you guess I'm a little bit excited?? lol

looks awesome. Call me gay and paint me pink but i just couldn't deal with a R34 GTR with no AC

lol I have a daily driver with air con that works perfectly  I doubt that, even with air con, the N1 would be the kind of car I'd be taking out for a thrash on a 40 degree day...

I'll come to an SAU cruise, no probs, but won't be for a fair while yet.

There was the option with the V-Spec IIs of putting a stereo back into it which has happened in mine, but I think it's a single CD unit, possibly with no radio, because I know the aerial has been removed.

I thought all GTR's had the antenna in the middle of the windscreen? Or did they just not bother with the N1 ?

    • Crazy how good the aero bar looks compared to the stock one
    • Yes, but you will need to rewire all the things that are different. CAS, coils, etc. Yes, but there is no IAT. What? You can use anything you like. It just has to be hooked up so that it will work.     Or are you wanting to just plug and play without having to do any thinking/work?
    • It's been a little over a decade since I bought the S15. As I did on my socials, I'll share some of my favorite pictures from over the years further below. If you haven't realised, pretty much all the pictures in my posts are ones I've taken.  In terms of updates, I don't have pictures, but I acquired a near-perfect pair of fog lights from a friend of mine, so those got swapped in for the pair I already had. As for the JZX110, I just got it back from being fixed. A few weeks back, I was on the highway when I suddenly drove over something with very little time to react. It was probably the size of a soccer ball, but it went under the car and banged into the underside pretty loudly. I pulled over and realized the fluid leaking was fuel, and of course, it was right near my exhaust. This required replacing the fuel tank. If you happen to be in the same predicament, thankfully this car shares a fuel tank with the JZS171, IS200, and IS300, so it wasn't too painful to replace. Enjoy some pictures as mentioned above, including the carnage from the fuel tank and a bonus picture I came across which shows how ridiculously shiny the Bugels are on the 110. So many more pictures I could share of the S15 but this will do for today, enjoy.
    • Welcome.  Was the mistake the car, or joining us? 😏
