Hey people,

Have myself a large problem, well large for me :D

When the car starts it will run for about 5 seconds then stall, if you increase the revs and hold at a certain level the car will still stall!!!

has new spark plugs, and starts fine!

bear in mind that the car has not been started in 3 months was wondering a few things, would this be caused by:

A) removing the stock solinoid eg unplugging it from ecu

B) fuel filter drying up and not allowing fuel through

C) dirty airflow meter - how do it clean?

D) suggestions please

thanks fellas, dying to drive her again :D

sounds like its something that directly affects the way air/fuel is measured.

so i'd say maybe a leaking inatake hose that is causing a loss of air, or a dirty AFM (do a search for how to clean), or an afm that's unplugged or something?

does it blow a puff of black smoke when u start it?

If the car has an Alarm system that runs with its own Battery and has the power to cut of Fuel then u need to buy a brand new car battery then connect it to a charger and charge it for about an hour to give power to the alarm battery...

This is a common problem with Those kind of alarms....

Otherwise you could have a mechanical problem of some sort..Get it checked out

yeah, just got a new car battery as well!!!

i know what your saying though, but it wouldn't start at all would it?

this thing runs for a couple of seconds then drops off, and only if left for a while!!!

it's at a mechanics now, hope fully to pick it up today!!!

had a mad run of bad luck!!

had a bloody window fall out on the way to the mechanic's today, bloody sikaflex must have gone off and not actually dried!!!

so thats an extra $300 to get this replaced then get it tinted again!!! AAARRRGGGGGGHHHH.......

well maybe something will go right for me :)

maybe

WazR32GTSt

Yeah thats much better, whats even better i have the car back now, running like an animal!!

it's amazing how much faster they get when you dont drive them for a long time :D

anyway turned out to be slight corrosion on the points of the ecu, and fuel pump relays!! had these cleaned up and it started, running rough though!! cleaned the AFM, then had issues with the calibration of the idle controller (no changes prior to incident) and it idles sweet now, although the revs dont drop after being in neutral for a couple of seconds like it used to!!

But hey, im still and extremely happy man, just gotta take some photos and post up the new paint job, now that it's all back together.

thanks for the responses people!!

    • Had a chat to Tony Mamo - he advised that looking at the graph's shape (regardless of number translation) it shouldn't be levelling off like that up top. He said it looks like the car is running a restrictor plate or something of that nature. Luckily the last dyno pull on E85 was saved to the PC - So I did a quick trace of Barometric KPA vs Intake manifold pressure, and lo and behold I see a copy of the 'waves' I was seeing on the dyno: I'm not entirely sure how to go about addressing this. It may be worth sacrificing IAT to run a more direct intake for the motor. Though packaging this could be flat out impossible given the constraints of the car. I should have removed the intake pipe to see if this made a difference but looking at this graph I now have something to potentially test in the future and think about. This one is from an old track day log in the OLD setup going through gears on track.
    • Oh, I forgot too, all the multimedia stuff captured and sold through things like people playing Pokemon Go. Pokemon Go specifically, can actually be traced all the way back to a CIA investment company too. So yep, they're watching everything. Not to mention the new stuff where they've worked out how to use WiFi signals to be able to map occupants inside of a building. That one would be something that I see being more used in public/government buildings, as you need to understand the signals when the room has no one in it first. It's not as easy as Hollywood would like you to think it is.
    • Followed ☺️ Assuming those are NEO rods, then at least 400kW all day.
    • Lets keep this going , Spotted this very stock V35 in Penrith and also saw a nice R32 FLY past me on Castlereagh rd , sounded really good.
    • Great work! Give it a clean up with some Emery paper, and I'd run a thread die over the threads too to clean them up. It will make reinstall much easier, and also life easier for the next time it needs to come out.
