goin on what luke said ere, bash the shit outta then, put them in the bins, melt the lid shut then put it back on the road for you to go hit with a truck or something! then again dont do it cause i wouldnt wish this on anyones pride and joy!

Yeah been to the police, they didn't really give two shits. Cop lady said "you'll learn one day not to drive these cars" Not sure what she meant by that but thought it was a rude statement to make...

Carl, yeah it sucked ass, insurance will come to the party (spoke to them already) but I have to pay excess and I have to be without my car YET again, it's just really disheartened me!

BTW Steve, many thanks again buddy! Really appreciate it, both Lana and I :/

That's such a stupid comment for her to make. That shows some cops stance against imports :D

Sorry to hear your misfortune Luke, you definitely dont seem to be having much luck with cars lately!

I just love the comment by the female cop, shows there mentality really, like if you had of been driving a commahwore the bin would have moved out of the way for you.

I dont know how you will go with getting a replacement front bar, but if you need a hand fixing that one give me a yell, as you have seen by my car im pretty handy when it comes to the fibreglass!

hate when people say stupid S**T like that!! I had a huge go at a cop that said to me, when i asked why did you pull me over, he replyed when you hoons drive cars like that you deserve to be pulled over more regulary!

i was doing nothing wrong. he just did the breatho, checked the license that was it.

Why say something to get me going like that?

But yer mate sorry to hear that about your car

ah man that's messed up... sorry to hear mate.

mate had a similar thing happen to his ride... they put a big stone on the road, then when he swerved to avoid the stone, he hit a bin that was deliberately placed there. nearly a write off. :D

I got side swiped by a Falconwhore years ago when I was on my bike (GPZ1100). Stayed upright (surprisingly) and immediately ripped into this guy. A bit of a scuffle and cops got involved to break it up. Even after hearing from witnesses the driver intentionally side swiped me, and was therefore in the wrong and trying to cause harm, one cop said to me "if a car wants your lane, I suggest you give it to him. I hate to see bikes hogging lanes and not allowing cars to pass" :D I verbally ripped into this cop for his ignorant attitude. This incident occured on the dual lane Sturt Road right outside the cop shop. The driver got out of his car and picked the fight with me. Because I won the cops wanted to charge me with assault!!! Ended up getting charges dropped and sueing the driver for damages, but he never saw any criminal charges for his driving. Found out some months later he was an ex-cop ... figures :/

Off topic, but I have the upmost respect for people who ride motorbikes on the roads these days, purely because the amount of d*ck head drivers on the road who have 0 respect for motorbike riders.

I've had a few family members, who ride their bikes on the weekends and have had numerous close encounters with stupid motorists who either don't bother giving way, cutting them off or even intimidating them by driving super-close to them. It's just plain stupid.

I absolutely hate tailgaters behind motorcyclists. Its a f**king stupid game to be playing. I keep old AA batteries handy for suck dickheads. A verbal warning at the lights usually works.

I get hoons wanting to race me all the time. I just ignore the f**kers. I didn't get my licence to ride to entertain those idiots. :D In 19 years, I thought I'd seen it all, but the SA motorists keep on surprising me with new forms of stupidity!

    • The rain is the best time to push to the edge of the grip limit. Water lubrication reduces the consumption of rubber without reducing the fun. I take pleasure in driving around the outside of numpties in Audis, WRXs, BRZs, etc, because they get all worried in the wet. They warm up faster than the engine oil does.
    • When they're dead cold, and in the wet, they're not very fun. RE003 are alright, they do harden very quickly and turn into literally $50 Pace tyres.
    • Yeah, I thought that Reedy's video was quite good because he compared old and new (as in, well used and quite new) AD09s, with what is generally considered to be the fast Yokohama in this category (ie, sporty road/track tyres) and a tyre that people might be able to use to extend the comparo out into the space of more expensive European tyres, being the Cup 2. No-one would ever agree that the Cup 2 is a poor tyre - many would suggest that it is close to the very top of the category. And, for them all to come out so close to each other, and for the cheaper tyre in the test to do so well against the others, in some cases being even faster, shows that (good, non-linglong) tyres are reaching a plateau in terms of how good they can get, and they're all sitting on that same plateau. Anyway, on the AD08R, AD09, RS4 that I've had on the car in recent years, I've never had a problem in the cold and wet. SA gets down to 0-10°C in winter. Not so often, but it was only 4°C when I got in the car this morning. Once the tyres are warm (ie, after about 2km), you can start to lay into them. I've never aquaplaned or suffered serious off-corner understeer or anything like that in the wet, that I would not have expected to happen with a more normal tyre. I had some RE003s, and they were shit in the dry, shit in the wet, shit everywhere. I would rate the RS4 and AD0x as being more trustworthy in the wet, once the rubber is warm. Bridgestone should be ashamed of the RE003.
    • This is why I gave the disclaimer about how I drive in the wet which I feel is pretty important. I have heard people think RS4's are horrible in the rain, but I have this feeling they must be driving (or attempting to drive) anywhere close to the grip limit. I legitimately drive at the speed limit/below speed the limit 100% of the time in the rain. More than happy to just commute along at 50kmh behind a train of cars in 5th gear etc. I do agree with you with regards to the temp and the 'quality' of the tyre Dose. Most UHP tyres aren't even up to temperature on the road anyway, even when going mad initial D canyon carving. It would be interesting to see a not-up-to-temp UHP tyre compared against a mere... normal...HP tyre at these temperatures. I don't think you're (or me in this case) is actually picking up grip with an RS4/AD09 on the road relative to something like a RE003 because the RS4/AD09 is not up to temp and the RE003 is closer to it's optimal operating window.
    • Either the bearing has been installed backwards OR the gearbox input shaft bearing is loosey goosey.   When in doubt, just put in a Samsonas in.
