Way better choice, build quality on the R34 is much better than the S15's (and their dodgy stagea A/C setup) there is a pretty good reason why back in 1998 a brand new top-spec S15 cost less than the bottom spec R34 in Japan

Yeh R34's benefit interior wise alot by the triple cluster.

Search around on here and you will pick one up for around $150 bucks. Then wire in some of your own gauges (oil pressure, volts, air/fuel etc) and it will spice up the R34 interior for a few humdred bucks.

The NA 34s look stupid because there is a big empty patch in the middle of the dash

would you think it could be DIY or should i send it in. it was indeed one of the first things i wanted to do haha. yeah i know what you mean. it's very... empty there. $150? that's very cheap. the main thing holding me back was justjap's price. although i'd probably still purchase it ;)

at first i didn't notice it but during the testdrive once we got to even poorer quality roads than sydney usually has on offer you notice an odd, tinny feel to it.

not to mention has better brakes, suspension, LOOKS. etc etc. i know what you mean =/

stupid, stupid laws. just set the insurance better. $1153 premium. much better. think all up it's 1k if something happens?

if you pay 6k for insurance it must be said your a goose lol..

Buy something cheap and economical and wait till ur off ur Ps

or..

Insure the car under ur parents name and pay a higher excess if you smash it so on so forth!

Negative about this is your rating will not move!

decidied to put it through for parents for atleast the first year probably will go through them for the first two. for pretty much $1k. then put it in mine once more experienced & all that. yeah it was gonna be $4.7 for me in my name, a bit rough really. then again the excess was quite low. figured it'd be better in mum's name haha. comparing the two excess' this premium + the excess under mum's name still works out cheaper haha.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
