I know this should be in the driveline section but nobody answeres questions in there and i need the car going.

I just changed the clutch in my R33 series 2, with an exedy heavy duty. I wanted to check the pedal feel before i put all the bellhousing bolts bank on, so i have 4 bolts on. I pressed the clutch in and it has about 2inch slop then it feels like a normal heavy duty. any ideas how to get rid of the slop, i havent taken off any clutch lines, all i did was unbolt the slave cylinder, which is now bolted back on. thanks for any help.

Thanks guys, i'll give that rod an adjust and see what happens.

Greets man.

Another trick I did with mine is fabricate a longer slave cylinder pushrod.

I made a new one with an extra 5mm of length and it made a big difference.

Later!

well i got in there, took out the pin and tryed to spin the bracket on the rod but it wouldnt spin by itseld, it kept turning the whole rod. when i clamped the rod with vice grips ot still wouldnt budge. i could prolly get another 5-10mm if it would bloody move. Anywho, i screwed in the sensor thing so it pushed the clutch pedal down a bit so there wasnt as much free play. i might get sombody to have a look at it.

There is a locknut that stops the rod turning and "self-adjusting".

Did you check the height of the new pressure plate compared to the one you replaced? Have you checked for freeplay in the thrust fork?

yep i checked the pressure plate hight, i havnt checked free play in the thrust fork, do you mean as it is now or when i put the new bearing in? cause i took my time and got it all right when putting in the new bearing. if you mean check for freeplay now, i'll check tthat soon as im home, if there is what should i do?

It's the rod you turn, not the bracket. On the end it has two flat sides and I think about a 10mm spanner fits it.

I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
