If you arent after more than 250rwkw, I would recommend you look at possibly fitting a GTR or Z32 fuel pump instead of the bosch 044 - alot less stuffing around.

Mine made 203 with power fc, fmic, exhaust and .85bar, so you could well be getting over that with 1 bar.

Hi Roy13 , the standard GTST pump is 135 litres per hour and supports 300 bhp at standard pressure. So 200 rwkw is already over what I would recommend using a standard GTST pump for. Our usual upgrade is a GTR pump which is 190 litres per hour and supports 420 bhp (260 rwkw) at standard pressure.

Next after that for us, is the Bosch 044 pump which is 330 litres per hour and supports 730 bhp (500 rwkw) at 73.5 PSI.

Hope that is some help.

Interesting.... im currently on 203rwkw with the standard fuel pump in my R33 GTS-T and im sure using the stock fuel pump is why im leaning out on 12psi coz i know it can go harder with the standard ecu/turbo.

Whats it cost these days to buy+install a GTR pump ?

I want something that can take around 275rwkw so that I won't need to replace it in 12mths time.

I had the same problem.. few dips and things on the dyno (flatspots I could feel too) and it was doing that at only 12psi, and with my cooler should be good for 14psi easily. So really i have a feeling the stock pump was starting to get a bit old and not providing enough fuel, quite short of 200rwkw. Really though you need to rig in a pressure guage in the fuel line to determine whether your fuel pressure is dropping. Have yet to get it back on the dyno to see whether its made any difference in reality or not.

Otherwise its maybe dirty injectors..

www.greenline.jp sell a Nismo Fuel Pump that pumps 175% more than the standard RB25DET fuel pump (246 Litres/hour).

Delivered to Australia they are ~$380. The website has a model of 17042-RRS40, does anyone know if these fit in-tank or....? Also whats it cost these days to have someone install them, would I get away with it all for $500 ?

Other side to the battery, there is a metal plate sort of khaki colour. Underneath is a big plastic screw on lid, has 3 fuel lines (one supply, with yellow band - one return and one for emissions?). If you unscrew it, you will find the fuel pump beneath:)

    • Working through possible solutions of converting my mechanical speedo.    Anyone know what type of speedo sensor the factory r34 gtr getrag has ? what the output is ? I assume its not a VSS and more a voltage like earlier speedo sensors ? Can an ECU read it ?

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
