Hallo guys!

I finish my car but I have many many problems with the stock ecu.

My tuner don't map it well. In easy driving the car is shit.

Many "cut offs" and other problems.

The dyno cannot meusure the power of the car.. with 5th gear and 6500rpm limit with 1.3 bar I see 620flywheel hp.

The strange was that the torque goes parallel with the horsepower!! :D:):D

I cannot understand why but it is very strange!!

I think that the torque must peak at lower rpm.

I will put the dyno sheet later if you want.

So I take the decision to buy an ecu.

Power fc d-jetro will work good for my specs?

I don't need to connect any afm as apexi tells?

Can I have lanch control with power fc?

I don't think that it nessecary for me but I would like to have it.

I did 60foot at 1.565 seconds!!

Not trying to be a smart arse but just plugging in a power fc wont fix ur problems... however a properly tuned and mapped PFC would suit ur setup very well.

1) idle will be as good as you make it, its in the tune

2) Same as above, a crap tune is a crap tune irrespective of the model of ecu, people get great results and great everyday drivability with AFM Power FCs and MAP D-Jetro FCs

3) You can have what ever a/f ratio you want at cruise

4) I think (not 100%) that only the FC Pro got launch control, so the D-J wont have it

Ive been following your build a bit and if im not wrong, ur currently using a pre-tuned replacement ECU

A Power FC D-J is not pre tuned, you cant drive ur car until you have the ecu properly set up.

A regular PFC comes with a kind of base map, the D-J does not, it has to be mapped from scratch.

If ur not happy with ur tuner time to find another

Oh and dont dyno ur car in 5th do it in 4th, closest to 1:1 ratio

Look at paulr33's PFC faq has loads of info on there will answer all ur questions

http://paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com/docs/...erfc-faq.htm#12

Thank you for your reply.

My tuner retune the stock ecu but I am not happy at all.

The car do a cut off as I said at 2500rpm often with light load and he cannot fix it.

He tolds me that at the cut off his emulator blinks!!

Also I am not happy with mafs... I hate them... I blow one because of wrong connections and they are expensive!!!

I also don't like to have 2 mafs and an ugle Y pipe in front of my beutifull T04Z!

My choice to stay with stock ecu was very very WRONG!!!

Many people here said it to me but I don't hear them

Anyway I will go for power fc d-jetro as you say me that will work good for me.

But why some people say that d-jetro still needs an maf connected?!?

buy a Vi-PEC and solve all your problems...it has launch control, anti-lag, flatshift, launch control and data logging.

not much dearer than a D-jetro....but so much better. Better return to idle, faster processor laptop tuneable and software and full product support available.

dealers in Europe too

But why some people say that d-jetro still needs an maf connected?!?

Because they are idiots, if you are after the other extras, and with your intended use of the car, i would fit a vipec(i didn't reaslise they were available in europe yet) or SM4

I still need aac/idle valve with power fc or now I don't need it?

For launch control I bought today GIZZMO!! I think that it is very good product and with gizzmo an power fc I will be ok!!

I have single throotle body manifold (JUN). Where to connect power fc map sensors?

the djetro powerfc (well any djetro setup) is reliant on the map sensor signal

and the rb26 djetro powerfc has two map sensors

on your car

1). are you using two map sensors

2). where are they connected (where?, location?, method?, in front of compressor?, after intercooler?, before throttle body?)

3). what does ETC, SENSOR SW CHECK show for PIM-1 and PIM-2 at idle?

4). what is set under SETTING, PIM VOLT

without answers to these you wont get your problem solved

and finally - you need a good tuner, not just install the powerfc and do power runs

you NEED to adjust the fuel and injection maps and trim the PIM if need be

I still need aac/idle valve with power fc or now I don't need it?

I think with power fc you still do, i asked my engiune builder if i could remove mine, but he thought i was using power fc and said i needed it, but if i went to a computer like Microtech or something similar (and fairly basic) i would be able to remove the idle control valve.

i use fcon pro and i think i would still be able to remove it. but power fc maybe not as it uses alot of factory stuff sensors etc..?

because we love it? and i have nothing better to do at work.. which reminds me i may aswell go play some pokermachines and practice my double ups!

hearts hearts double diamond club?? usually does the trick!

I don't have the power fc now! I ordered it and I will have it in the following days.

So in your questions I can reply you when I install it.

But can you tell me where exactly to connect the map sensors?

DiRTGarage I cannot understand your problem!

You don't want to help me? Ok don't help me Mr Perfect!

Which advices I ignored?

You tell me to remap me stock ecu to solve my problems... I go to the tuner and he remap it..!

You tell me to change the stock ecu with another and I do it! I bought a power fc!!

I do whatever you say me! I know that you know everything about skylines and I do whatever you say me.

    • Thanks for the info. The only "Issue" I've had with the shifter is I always found the throw between 4th and 6th gear too close. I'm always worried to shift into 4th accidently and sending my motor to the moon. Adam LZ recently came out with a video and stated Serialnine revised their shifters to correct this and will change all the revised parts for 150$. Strangely enough, I contacted Serialnine right after and they denied it and said it's bullshit. I found that strange as he's a distributer. I'll keep this forum post updated on that saga.
    • Yep that is correct. It allows you to adjust the short throw range from what I can tell
    • Car has been running great, I've put about 300km's of break in time on it. First thing that stands out with properly sealing rings is no more noticeable crankcase smell coming out of my catch can. This may seem insignificant, but the constant smell while driving around was infuriating. It's also nice to see my oil level remain stable. Two new issues have developed that I only noticed this weekend though. There's a very noticeable driveline vibration past 100kmh. I only noticed it now as I've been babying it under 100kmh in the backroads. This comes as no surprise as I'm running a one-piece shaft, and I paid zero attention to my driveshaft angle when I put everything back in. I also have a fair bit of voltage drop on hot starts. The starter audibly is forcing. No issues on cold start though. I must not have removed all the paint under my main block ground during assembly. I'll try and take care of both those issues this week once the kids are asleep.  I also received all the parts I was missing for my direct port setup. I will hopefully have pictures of that up soon. I'm hoping to get back on the dyno the week of June 30th as I'll be on vacation. I'm confident I should be able to make north of 500rwkw on pump gas and WMI. I'll go back again later this summer with E98, but I want to confirm my ethanol content sensor is working properly first. I've never seen it read anything but 11%. This makes sense for our 10% ethanol content pump gas here, but I would expect the occasional movement between fill ups.
    • 75% complete. Will now need to get a new axle with 5x114.3 hubs and then figure out how to customize some mudguards for it once the wheels are on.
    • Trailer prep is underway... Lined up the wheel to get a rough indication of how it would sit Then removed all the bits (as far as possible) and gave the frame a light sand and quick lick of paint   Then added some carpet
