just checking if anyone has been unwell recently like me?

about a month n a half ago i had the flu really bad.. i had it for about 10 days! i eventually got better and went on a holiday over to thailand (phuket). while i was over there i got sick again.. this time i had a nausea sickness. total loss of appetite, bad stomach pains and really bad dhiarrhea! i had it for about a week.. even when i returned home! i thought it was from eating something bad over there..

i have been feeling well for the last couple of weeks until friday night just gone.. the nausea came back and i have lost my appetite again.. pretty much the same as when i was on holidays! i had a really bad sore throat last night, and feel like im getting a bad cough!

i kinda think that all the sicknesses are linked in some way? alot of people i know have been sick lately

so has anyone experienced something like this??

I've been suffering from nausea for the past 2 weeks, feeling real lightheaded and having a loss of appetitite (which leads me to starve then I get even worse and start getting migraines). I left work early again today for this reason. I dont know what it is (definately not the flu), but if it persists for another week I;m definately taking a visit to the doctor for the first time in my life.

i went to the docs today! i had to give a stool sample and also a blood sample.. results should be back in the next couple of days!

i have been feeling exactly the same as dani boi and crans.. maybe its a virus going around atm?? hopefully things get better soon

When people say they have the flu generally its just a common cold and they get over it in a few days. If your bed ridden for over a week with huge fever like symtems and you sleep most of the day you have real influenza, generally type a. Once you have had it you really cant get for a long time after as your body finally becomes immune and thats how it goes away. You will then stay immune for a long time after. Thats pretty much what the flu shot does it gives you a tiny dose of the flu to get your immunity up.

Sounds like you have a bad virus not associated with influenza go see a local gp.

update- just been to the docs for the results on the blood test.. clear of anything major like hepatitis.. but i did have abnormal liver functions! so i have to have a liver ultrasound 2moro!!

the doc told me there is a virus going around atm with the symptoms like mine.. nausea/vomiting/diarrhea for the first few days and then start developing flu like symptoms such as sore throat/cough/aches! apparently it originated i queensland

Usually I get sick about once, maybe twice a year. This year I've lost count...

Had my usual sickness near the start of winter, then was getting over it. My boss went on holiday to Mauritius, came back to work sick (thanx boss), and I picked it up off him. No-one else did, and I think that was cos my immune system was still a bit low. That made me sick for a few weeks, but thankfully got better just before my holiday to Broome.

In Broome, we sunk bulk piss. Was f**king ace actually. But anyway, I didn't get sick like I did last time I did that & came home, but a few weeks after going back to work I was sick again. Since then I've just got over it (literally a day or 2 feeling 100%), then I've been knocked back down again. I'm at the end of another one now, sinus stuff annoys me sometimes & I cough every now & then but fine apart from that. I'm hoping now it's warming up that will be the end of it. But if not, then I'm gonna have to go to the docs & see if anything to do with work is affecting me, all flour n things like that....

    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
    • BTW I measured the jack I have, it is 70mm at the saddle but you only have about 700 until it returns to 150mm high at the cylinder so it is good but no magic bullet.
