I need to find somewhere to eat in Civic on Saturday night... someone suggest something good!! Yes I'm being lazeh!!

yum yum tree is in baileys arcade. not really open at night.

You could try either CREAM or sammy's kitchen which is in the new quarter of civic with dendy and all that in it.

ended up going to Ardeche cos its close to the canberra threatre, was ok but not great

tried going to Cream later on for a cocktail but it was closing (was like 10.30-11pm) so went to the Hippo Bar instead.

all go karts in canberra are crap.... both hume and fyshwick..... i think fyshwick are faster but smaller track, and hume are slower with bigger track......

we need a proper one like eastern creek, though that would make the other 2 in canberra redundant.

or they could both get together and open a massive one together! haha nah wouldn't happen, but i agree with the "fyshwick are faster but smaller track, and hume are slower with bigger track" but i used to work at fyshwick

how was shannon noll? :)

yeah back home we have decent speed track and karts, mad fun, i just hatted being able to max out the power round corners insted of traction, just not right, just feeling that you can give it more and there is none, made me sad, good day tho, i think go karts is more about the group enviroment and the likes

You've got to race against each other in the same karts to gauge skill because the performance of each kart varies so widely.

The best way we ran it was to get the best time in a particular kart, this is the best way to make it "fair" and more based on skill. The downside is that normally people will go for 3 sessions and that means your only racing against two other people.

hey zane...any way to tweek them so they go faster lol???

fyshwick is crap the track is way too small'

nah unfortunately there isnt an easy way to tweak them, the big karts pull the whole way down the straight though (yes i know its a small straight)

    • Thanks for the linkie. Certainly always a great deal of help when people post comparisons like these, but I think for now I'll stay away from any semi slicks. I did go ahead and order the sportcontact 7. My buddy has them on his modified A4 and he keeps saying how good they are. For my intended purposes these will probably work real well. I'll report on them once I had the chance to try them out
    • Talk about noisy. Even when I still had the Tomei under the car I could distinctly hear the tires rolling. And I doubt I ever will need maximum grip like on a track. My GTR will maybe never even see the 600hp mark and I need to get used to the car quite a bit before challenging the limits of its handling. For the next winter storage I think I will get a set of these rubber drive-on thingies that have a tire shaped base. Those supposedly really help prevent flat spots.
    • Well our climate is definitely way less hot overall and the weather can be quite picky at times. I just know that during normal road use or even spirited drives there is no way I'd be able to consistently stay in the operating temperature, and constantly changing the tire pressure would also be a royal pain.
    • Input shaft bearing. They all do it. There is always rollover noise in Nissan boxes - particularly the big box. Don't worry about it unless it gets really growly.
