Seeing if anyone has done the change specifically on an r32 GTR...

Whats involved in the change?

Well the first thing needed is to grind off the mounting bracket from the suspension tower & weld on a new one. Which will make no end of a mess of the paintwork to start with.

Having said that even the Nismo front arm/lower link package relocates the mounting point so there may be something in it. Typically the upper links appear to wear more than the others.

It is probably just as easy to make yourself a new upper link the way you want it. There are more than enough bush sets available to come up with something reasonable.

Well now you have me scratching my head.

Will have to have a better look at the suspension when I get home tonight. Attached is a shot from the outside. Not sure about the inside detail as I just sort of assumed they were welded & never really looked. Having said that there are some bastard big nuts inside the tower that are in the right spot....

Here is the link to the Nismo site:

yep, the mounting brackets un-bolt off the 32. they can be a cnt though on one side, passenger sdie I think it was. I did it once thinking it would be the easy way to remove my UCAs' ie just take them out mount and all. but sadly it's not! not sure if the 33 or 34 ones un-bolt or are welded.

anyway, I know some places in japan have converted the 32s to 33/4 style front upper arms. I'm guessing (not sure) thouh that you'd need the 33/4 front uprights and maybe hubs too. but you may not need the hubs.

There certainly should be some benefit in doing it. if you have a crack and makie it work let us know what you thought of it.

Main thing I want to do is to go to an arm that should not wear itself out as fast, also currently running noltec arms and one of them is sqeeking like crazy which is annoying me so would like to go to a spherical joint arm, not many good ones of them are available for the 32 though.
