Trans Not Gettin In Reverse

hey guys i no this is the wrong place but i have got a vn ute for work since i gathered i coulnt afford a gtr i got a cheep ute for work n bak and im gona fix up a 31, neway off topic. the vn when i put it in reverse i get the thump into reverse and it dosnt reverse if that makes sence sometimes it takes up to 10 min to get in reverse if you no what i meen. I just wana no if any one has encounted this issue i thought it would be somethin to do with the valve bodies, but im not to sure i no its a commodore but it annoys me when no reverse, any help will be appreciated. Thanks guys.

It's an auto, right? It has fluid? Has it EVER been serviced?

ive got the same problem on my r33

put in the MV shiftkit valvebody, lost 4th... got that fixed all was good.

then all of a sudden i lost reverse.

car thinks its in reverse but wont engage the gear, no backwards motion.

taking it back to the shop to get it fixed.

ill let you know what it was. may be of help

nuh the tranny has been services it is a auto but i was told that the seels harden up which cause it to not engage reverse when hot, but yer its really a pain i dont wana re build it. thanks for input guys also ny more help will be appreciated.
