Morph you guys had a nice display over there but in the power stakes well, only 4 of our cars went on the dyno(mine managed a terribly low score btw) and we still won the club shootout :D

I think we both got hard done by Queen Street Racing even BEING a club as really, they are part of a business.

Oh well, there's always next time.

Our club wasn't eligible for general club prizes we were one of the 4 clubs that were in the invitational section which we only could win "club champion of the year"

as melbs15 already won club champion & club performance in Melbourne and got invited to go to Sydney to compete as a invitational qualifier and not general.

FYI club performance isn't based on just raw dyno power accumulated btw :P its a mixture of a few different things.

It was between Seductive motor sports, Tym 2 Go, club xc and melbs15.

As far as I know SAU wasn't part of the invitational battle.

Peace.

GO TEAM!

IMG_7756.jpg

I'll post up more as I upload them

Thanks to everyone who took part, entered cars and generally aided the cause. We wouldn't have won the awards we did without the assistance. :) I had a field day just as much as everyone else and i'll gladly come back to help on the stand in June.

Marijan - mate, your R32 is a testament to hard work paying off and I was constantly awed every time I looked at it. Thank you for coming out and offering your support.

Bakes - Awesome car mate, it's one of those 34's that can only be fully appreciated in the steel rather than pictures which makes me think i've got a hard task at hand when we go to shoot it early next year.

Charlie - The gentleman's gentleman, shotgun extraordinaire and Kebab connoisseur ("You order it then turn away while he makes it, grab it, eat it and don't worry about what's in it.") :D . :P Awesome car with a wicked growl and always willing to throw in a set of hands where they were needed. You couldn't be any better at playing a team sport.

Zilch - You bring the car and the girl and i'll bring the camera. hehehe, Smooth car with power (Dyno wasn't playing ball but who cares), Props for coming out to play and burning the candle at both ends for us.

Doofy - My partner in crime, I think the weekend owes a lot to you for putting it together and running it to such a standard. So much mischief and so much fun at the same time. We'll own the show one day....one day soon. ;) Thanks for the weekend mate. :) Stop by here if you're up this way sometime for a beer.

Carl - If you're reading this you've made it onto SAU and we thank you for entering with us and you are more than welcome to enter with us anytime in future. In the meantime, hope the V35 sells for the right price, because whoever buys it will own one of the finest V35's in Australia.

Jay - Audio/visual junky, Props for the lights, sounds and electrical gear. I think you should've been up there on stage instead of me. Thank you once again and pass my regards onto Borjo for his assistance with the weekend.

Dave - The Nur is such a thing of beauty and just sitting in it was a privilege for me. Good dyno result for such a car. I think Doof didn't want to get out of it after driving it either! lol. Many thanks for filling the empty space and props for the Pizza on Sunday night.

I think that's everyone. I'll post links to the galleries soon for the other 'mortals' in the show.

Hey gus, good to meet you on the weekend, sorry I missed this post up until now.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised at all, ITSWAR has had a SHIT TONNE of work done to it, it has a full roll cage and a beautiful interior in it... not to mention mini tubs and an engine that eats babies...Every show after set up I go up and ask them if I'll see it on the dyno this time and they always have an excuse ;) makes me sad in my pants

Next round I hope will be pretty large. The Syndey round does find a lot of the big hitters there and it's not much different to the Final Battle round to be honest, but we can have more floor space which means more entrants and WAY more dyno time... this will be the happiest part of it :( several cars that couldn't make it to this, providing there is no track day on the same day, will be able to represent SAU on the dyno and show the modified car world that we mean business! :)

big congrats to doof and the entrants the stand look grate lot of hard work , ian photos look grate , was good to see two of my cars on your stand ( steve's 33 and daves 34 ) and apparently some thing eles that was from my work shop ( i think steve will know what im talking bout lol , she looks better when she dosent pad her bra tho , lol ) all in all grate display boys congrats on your awards you deserved it !!! see you there next year

Dennis

Grim Performance

Got the CD yesterday Ian, great photos mate! thanks heaps ;)

Dennis, man that made me laugh mate

She was keen to pose for some photos and Ian is a really good photographer, we kept all the sleazy guys away from her whenever they came near rest assured.

Glad everyone liked the display, now we just have to come up with a theme for the next one so we can win that trophy as well! :domokun:

    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
    • Yep...so unless someone posts up the answer you will need to probe from the ECU connector to the dash plug with a multi meter in continuity mode to trace the wires.  Note the ECU has multiple - and + (and across different key settings - Battery, IGN and Start) and most likely the power is fed from the connector(s) that is normally near the left hand headlight.
    • Thanks Duncan, I am actually just trying to get the Rb turning and running with the RB25DET S2 original loom itself  I am just trying to get it going outside the body and not thinking about the S15 or trying to match anything to the S15 loom at all I am only trying to see if anyone has done this and what pin they found to be the ignition trigger and ECU+/- on the dash connector, that's about it. Thanks
    • Hi Guys, Does anyone know any aftermarket part numbers for a starter motor to suit the VQ25DET? I can find lots of alternative part number for the VQ35DE, which I assume would fit, but there is a lot of conflicting information out there. Thanks..
    • I don't understand how this hasn't boiled down to - Upgrade the turbo when you have everything required. ECU, injectors, fuel pump, turbo, etc. Do it all at once.  If you don't have everything required, just enjoy the car as it is and keep saving up your pennies.
